Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This is for each of us who are anxiously anticipating that special day on 1/6/12 when all the effort, support and worry is coupled with our recruits hard work and dedication and will come to fruition. Each tear shed and moment spent on sleepless nights will not go away during the next eight weeks, but to know we have a support system where we all share the same goal, will help lift our spirits as we continue through this exciting journey together!!! Let the countdown begin!!!:)

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

We just got our 1st real letter!!!!!!!!!!! I think the only day I have been happier concerning my SR is the day he was born! My husband & I both had meltdowns last nite & I'm hoping this will really help my husband. He lost his Dad almost 2 years ago, his only brother was killed in a hunting accident 23 years ago, & he's missing his son terribly! I'm not gonna say a word, just lay it by the recliner & let him find it. He sounds great. Says he misses us more than he ever thought he would & can't wait to see us. Don't know if I already said on here that he was made division yeoman so we're proud of him although we don't really know what all that entails. :) I hope anybody waiting receives a letter soon. It's the greatest feeling in the world! Take care all!

He is the one who hosts the MeetNGreet (there are 2, the other is at the Ramada). He is retired military and wonderful...takes such great care of the Navy families there and also the sailor students. He is full of great in info too. Here's his number:
