No...they have to release a formal statement about it...I am checking the site daily.
Remember that's for Thansgiving Adopt-a-Sailor...it could be different for Christmas. But we can hope, can't we?!
This is from RTC FB on the fifty mile radius per THANKSGIVING Adaopt-a-Sailor.
They have not posted a full statement on Christmas Adopt-a-Sailor yet. Let's hope the standards are the same!
QUESTION - RTC I just got a letter from my SR he said he was told I live too far away for the adopt a sailor for Thanksgiving, but I was planning on getting a hotel room close to the base, I live around 4.5 hours away, but I wasn't going to bring him home with me. Just visit for the day in Waukegan and have him back that night. Is this not possible? Thank you!
Yes I did get his box of stuff. His little sister was so excited when it came then sad to see it was his "stuff"! Lol
I believe most of the forms letter were received within 1-2 weeks. Maybe you should contact his recruiter, they have access to that information as well. Did you receive the "box"?
I have not recieved the form letter wonder how that works??
I was curious if anyone has received any letters? Form letter was received last week. I'm really hoping for a letter or phone call this week.
I have a few friends from, our PIR group last year, who did adopt sailors. They booked rooms at a hotel and made a Thanksgiving dinner for them. So that was allowed last year for Thanksgiving. Their SR's were also allowed to bring a couple of friends along.
