Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. Comment by ProudOfGar on December 20, 2011 at 12:02pm: Ok so my house is now officially equipped with a tree... I guess my husband could read me better than I thought. When I got home from work and noticed he hadn't assembeled a tree he said that he had already been to Wal-Mart he just didn't know which one I would want! So we went and got one! We are very bad about just doing things without a plan and most the time it really surprises us with the turnout! I had 2 Navy ornaments and 2 ballerina ornaments so I put those on it while he was bringing in my huge tub full of decorations I asked what color we wanted (cause beleive me I think I have every color) we decided on this one set of blue and white while I was putting those on he says well here you need a little silver then we took a step back and he say no you need something else here try the red and before we knew it we had a complete patriotic tree lol! We love it! I want to get some pics on my lunch break so I can send them to Gar maybe they will get there in time!

We were in the park and he was talking to her and I was pouncing around like a puppy. "what is she saying", "is she ok?" It was really funny. Never too old to look silly. We were at the park and I didn't care who was looking.

I am so happy you love the ribbons. I hear from so so many people how the pictures don't come close to how good they look in person. I don't think I will ever be able to get pics that do. There is still plenty of time for this PIR group to order the ribbons and get them in time for PIR. I think most people are waiting until after Christmas to get their orders in and that is fine they will still get them in plenty of time. I appreciate all your kind words, Thanks again.
