~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thanks diannep for the reminder! No letter for me this week...still a slight chance for tomorrow...either way - only 13 more days to go!
No letters here either.
I am pretty certain, although not positive, that today is week 5, day 2.
LOL, I did the SAME thing earlier this morning Ladyhawk. I even pulled a couple pics out so i could zoom in because i thought it was our boy :)
then realized that it was the training command and not the recruits. I thought that maybe (since our SRs are SO good) they even gave them ipods while they were running :)
Ladies, we just got word from a lady on one of the PIR groups that her SR asked her to please not post specific (personal) info on this site and not to post on the FB site either. Said the RDCs were reading the posts and even showed some of them to the SRs. So....confirm s(again) what we have been telling you all....both N4Moms and FB can be read...there is no problem at all with that as long as you are not detailing on here what your SR may be telling you in letters and phone calls (intending that info to be private to you), and are only posting general info,
Use this site as it was intended...as support for YOU to get through bootcamp. If you think something is too personal in nature to post on here, please private message it. No one was in trouble in this SR's group....it is just that it can draw attention to an SR if they connect you with your SR, and the SRs want to go "under the radar" during bootcamp!
I looked as well Marie and I didn't see anything any newer than 1/18
I hope everyone is having a good day :)
I am just trying to stay warm here in NC. We have been pounded with sleet and freezing rain today and my Sailor in VA Beach are getting snow. I would rather have a foot of know than a quarter inch of this nasty ice. The good thing for me is the ice got my hubby out of work, and even better, he did laundry and made homemade sauce and Chicken Parmesan, yum yum
The latest pics that i am finding on the RTC fb site is from PIF 01/18/13. Help :) I'd really like to scope out to (like every other mom on here) catch a glimpse of my son. I'm really missin' that boy :-( can you give me more details on the pic location
On a brighter note; only 13 days, 15 hours to go :)
Yay Missy0922 on the letter :) Love the new Navy commercial - thanks for sharing <3 No letter today - hoping to hear news from my SR's girlfriend that she got one...13 days to go! :)
LadyHawk... New pics are up where?
Betsy, yep, tears.
