~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

SSaulter: He has already been told what day he will be leaving for A School? They usually don't get their flights until orders are ready, which is usually after BattleStations. Although some may depart on Sunday, most will on Saturday. Hoping you have most of Saturday with him!
arebeb: See my answer above for when they know their flight info.
Not sure what you mean about access to bank accounts through the government but if you are talking about a Navy Fed account, there is a Navy Fed on base. They may have opened an acct there when they arrived. My son did. He had an outside account too, which he only had access to with his debit card (couldn't get on line to check anything)...and transferred all out of that one and into Navy Fed at A School.
If they arrived with a debit card from a personal checking account, they should be able to use that there if needed (although they get a supply card from the Navy to use too). But they will not be able to check their bank accounts online since they don't have computer access (until after BattleStations).
does anyone know if the recruits know in advance when they are getting sent off after graduation? Also does anyone know if they have access to their bank accounts thru the gov? Thanks, enjoy the day all!
mcmomship13div099 my son is in the same and NO no call, he said 3-4 wks which would be 4 today, if he does call i hope its after 8pm so i will be home. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
Good morning. Did anyone get a call today? I am keeping my phone by my side.
Wow in the 50's tomorrow for PIR - some family members have been praying very hard for some great weather - hehe Enjoy the beautiful day with your Sailors tomorrow if you have a PIR to attend <3
Good Morning all! Hoping more letters and phone calls come today! You are right Ladyhawk - when we don't hear word, we just have to remind ourselves that our SR's are safe and kicking butt in their training! They have a rack and chow and lots of "love" from their RDC's :D Trying to get used to some of the Navy lingo ;)
Good morning everyone :) louielouship I hope you get that letter and a call today :)
Good Morning All!
Craig, there are a few other photos, but not many. Here is the SeaBees own site - http://www.seabeetv.com/--Seabee%20Museum%20Marvin%20Shields-2.jpg
Sailsetter, the shirts my son ordered were the boot camp ones with the division flags on them. We never got the mom/dad ones.
