Thank you so much Lala!  I 'm glad I don't have to get her a passport :)

School ID if it has a photo should work just fine. I would take SS card or birth cetificate just in case but you shouldn't need those.

Morning ladies!

I have a question.  I was rereading the form letter regarding the ID requirements for us when we come to PIR.  It says "All visitors age 13 and over must have valid, government-issued photo identification (driver's license, passport, etc).  My daughter is 14 so she doesn't have anything but her school ID.  I thought I saw in another forum that this would work.  Can someone please verify?

Hope you all are enjoying your Saturday!

Welcome back, Jessica!  We need you!  :-)

Good morning all!

Welcome back Jessica, we have missed you. Don't you just love a new computer with no issues?

Good luck with all those men FTLW. I have the same but opposite thing going on here this weekend. Instead of men, I have 6 teenage girls for the weekend and maybe one more this evening. I think my hubby was happy to get called into work lol. I also spent most of the day yesterday cleaning.

Good Morning everyone, I hope you all have a great weekend :-)

Hello!

Sorry I was MIA today! I had lots of chores to catch up on.

One of our sons invited two friends over…so I have six (counting hubby) “men” in the house. The testosterone levels are in the “red” zone!

I have stocked up on Pizza, Chips and Donettes…wonder what they will eat?!

Hello everyone...I am a couple of days late introducing myself.

A brief intro: I received "the I arrived call" at 1:01 am Thursday, March 8th, followed by "the box" on Tuesday, and then the anxiously-awaited letters Wednesday. Other than being "bald and tired" all seems to be fine. He is my youngest, and is a Reservist, who will train to be a Hospital Corpsman and attend A school at Ft Sam Houston.

I appreciate all the information shared in the group, and a special thanks to FTLW for bringing us all together.

FTLW:  So glad that you are sure of your address....after living there for 26 yrs....  HAAA!  What a silly question?

Reminds me of a letter I just sent, priority mail, to my son in TX--last week.  Tracked it...2 days after it left, it was "stuck" in Austin...kept getting processed in and out of the same "Sorting" place.  This went on for 3 days!  I finally hightailed it to my post office for help last Sat (it has left on Tues).  They were not helpful...he tracked it himself and told me I must have put the wrong address on it.  I assured him I didn't....I had written it from my son's text message which I had checked on the computer before going down there.  I actually wrote the address from the envelope onto my tracking slip.  He told me, nope, I must have the wrong address on there...yep. that's it.  Surely it wasn't "their" fault. Grrrr....

Now, I knew it got out of Miami fine...I asked if he could call the Austin sorting center...nope, but I could if I wanted to....and good luck getting to speak to someone.  A friend of mine walked in about that time and read him the riot act.... (you GO, Donna!).  Said:  Don't you think that someone in that sorting center is more likely to talk to you or your supervisor than to my friend here?  She had that guy so baffled....he had the supervisor come talk to me.  Guess what he said?  Yep, "I bet you put the wrong address on there so eventually, it will be returned to you."

WHAT?  I called the my son's gf's mom (the house it was going to) just to verify once again...yep, address is totally correct.  She told me to use UPS or FedEx next time...they get it right in her neighborhood.

End of story???  I went home, angry and exhausted...pulled up tracking again...showed it was finally in their town outside of Austin (hmmmm.....guess the address was correct!)....but wouldn't be delivered until Monday (this was Sat).  Just then, my phone rang...it was the gf's mom:  Dianne, guess what I'm holding in my hand?  Mail carrier just delivered it (on Sat!).  Of course, I was thrilled...but decided then and there...the USPS had no clue where it was...I think God's angels must have had to get involved and "carry it" there!

Sorry for being so long and silly here....must be my fever.....ugh...

juliebelle - the whole town will be smelling it soon too! Poor Josh, he is going to go down in Wrightwood history for the smelliest socks on record! LOL

juliebelle28 - Have you tried calling Fed Ex? I know you don't have a tracking number but maybe...?

We have a wierd street...odd and even numbers on my side...and UPS and Fed Ex have trouble "finding" us. The numbers are on the house and the curb but we just aren't where we are supposed to be...so they don't look! Well...I had not received something...called them and get this...the guy asks, "Are you sure your address is correct?"

I've lived here for 26 years...yeah...I think so.
