Good Morning everyone :-) Have you run out of things to write about?  It happens lol. When that happened to me I wrote a letter to our recruit from the family cat. It was hilarious. Our cat is huge and needs to loose some weight and when our Sailor was home she was the one who fed him. She kept the bowl full all the time. I talked to the vet and had "special" food and was measuring out what he could have twice a day. The cat "Shadow" was not happy with his rations and kept going to my Sailors bedroom door begging for food. Shadow is a rescue cat and his first owners were mean to him and kicked him. He is deaf and can't meow. So he can knock on doors with his paw and makes a lot of noise. So the letter told her that since she left we have been starving him to death and we don't understand his needs and she needs to get back here or at least talk some sense into us. He went on to say that he knew she was all grown up and needed to spread her wings like "Charlie" (our bird) but he couldn't understand why she left him behind with people who don't understand his needs. And, he knows how much she loves shoes but did she really need to go to camp just to get some boots? They do sell those at the mall right? lmao it was the funniest letter and she loved it hahaha. The point is write about anything you can think of. One mom even sent her grocery list lol.

Thanks pjay, my oldest son and daughter and I hashed it out today, and think we are doing the right thing. So I'm gonna take it as it comes and get excited about PIR and my son's great future. This will all pass, just as soon as he gets settled in at A-school. Can't wait! :)

Does anyone recognize any SR's from pic #16 on the new RTC post?  I think my SR could be carrying the flag on the left, but his face is a little out of focus.

You know I was thinking this morning it's kind of funny how at first I was so sad, and all my mental images were from the last days he was here with us (especially when he broke down crying on my shoulder in front of his friends).  I got irritated if my husband said "We'll see him in Chicago."

Now I realize I'm happy and excited to be seeing him so soon, and all my mental images now are of the future and seeing him again in his dress blues and especially my HUG! We are so close to the end!  I can't wait!

Julie, Now that's a pic to bring a smile. :) Gonna try to hit Sarge's and the Ramada, but Sarge's for sure. I get in fairly early on Thursday.

My son's not in the pics on RTC, which surprises me because he's on the snare drum, so I thought I would see him for sure.

I'm sure glad we all have each other to get us through all this. Thank You all! ♥
