For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I am glad you liked the little sundress with the anchor. It is so precious. If I only had a grandbaby. But I do have nieces so they will have to be my models lol. I can't believe he has lost that much weight. My daughter was 103 when she left and gained 6 pounds in bootcamp. All muscle gain though she didn't look any different at all.

Comment by aj2daway on April 22, 2012 at 9:47pm: how bad does that one recruit feel about messing up. :-( I feel bad for them. So glad that the div is doing so well and especially glad that y'all got phone calls! I was starting to worry that it might be an RDC "joke".

I hope that the SRs know when to ask for medical. I know that all of them are so anxious to just get to the finish line.
