Thanks everyone! So excited, they are doing so great!
Lala, THANK YOU for this info. I read on NavyforDads that they can't use this between A and C Schools (if they take any leave then). That makes no sense. Do you know if that is correct? It said it could be used between school and going to your new duty station. I wouldn't think it should matter. I'll be at the Recruiting Office on Monday to speak with them.
CB what an awesome letter. i know you were beyond happy to get that :-) When he finishes A-school there will be a form for him to fill out and get signed by someone on his command. He then brings it home with him and the recruiter will fill it out and send it to his next location. They can work for up to 5 days and it not count against their leave at all. And most recruiters only make them work for a few hours each day :-)
Ladies does anyone know how long the liberty will be after the PIR 5/4/2012??
Also is anyone SR going to A school in Pensacola?
Ladies you know that there is an app for iphone(sorry) that is for the Navy. When you go further into it, it does show the Navy for Moms site. Didn't know if you knew.
CB I am so so excited for you!! You must be so proud. YAY for SHIP 02 DIV 925!!!
Hopefully we get a phone call tomorrow!!!!
I Got A LETTER! Whew! Can stop worrying now. 2 pages, plus he answered my survey letter! (Finally!) :) His GF got 15 pages written as small as a typewriter! Actually I thought it was typed! Looks like it is. LOL! Mail from Sunday, April 15th:
Everything is GREAT! He's getting over being so sick, (Altho he said he has shin splints, which I find odd, because he trained really hard on all kinds of terrain, must be because it's in boots, and you move differently).
He, and most of his shipmates are feeling a lot better, and getting over Ricky Crud. He said EVERYONE in the Division IS getting letters now, and that's great!
His rack mate and he get along awesome and have become GREAT friends. He speaks a lot of him and that they have so much in common. His rack mate is the Yeoman, is married, was an EMT, and going to be an HM also. (Who's SR is this? :) Contact me by message. I know I saw a member that matches up with his rack-mate, my mind is just boggled from all the excitement of the letter so I can't think straight. LOL!)
"Our Division is KICKING A_ _!" They are #1 in the Training Group, and working hard to keep that position till the end, so they can win Hall of Fame. They "want it so bad for their RDCs" as well as for themselves. They are on track to be their RDC's first Hall of Fame Division if things keep going as they have.
They have earned EVERY Flag (available so far, to date) AND some Pennants!
They have their last PFA, Test-3, and Dress uniforms Inspection to pass, before they know if they get Hall of Fame. Only concern is PFA, because "a lot of our division aren't really athletic, so it's DIFFICULT lol!"
Even with the Baby Division, they have managed to keep their compartment at ZERO hits!!!
They earned hopefully about an hour or more at Ricky Heaven, and a phone call. It is probably going to be tomorrow, Sat the 21st.
He earned his Sharp Shooter Award, and just missed the Expert Award by 3 points. (Shoot!)
He has a 4.75 out of 5.0 test Average.
He's E-2 and trying really hard be E-3 when he graduates.
He's not stressed, and can't wait till PIR!
The new BCGs (glasses) look great, A lot better than he expected!
In addition to doing the GI Bill for College he also signed up for an Investment Savings plan.
He can't wait for contact with the outside world!
Said to INQUIRE about the Recruiter Assistance Program at the recruiters office, so it can be set up. After A-School (if they can get in this program) they can come to their HOME TOWN and work for a SHORT while (a week?) at the Recruiting Office, and be with their family. It does NOT take any time away from their leave that way.
He wants a Chicago Dog, a Steak, and Time to eat SLOWLY while on Liberty. (Also a shower, sleep, and his GF! LOL)
Once again...an extremely upbeat letter, and he's "Loving the Navy! That's my boy young man!
and iPhone!
CB, I am ridiculously excited about the countdown clock! I wonder if it can be posted on my FB Timeline?
Julie, FB is so much easier because I'm primarily using my dumb smartphone.
Thank You Julie! Can't wait!
