For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Drum Roll PLEASE...... (My son on the Snare drum would be perfect right now!)

Yes! I WAS camping on the Time Clock.....again!

Right now, OUR Performance Division is at PIR for TG23... performing! All that hard work practicing and giving up their free time, and today they get to perform.

(And then it's off to the Gas...Confidence Chamber I heard!)

Hope we get to see them in some pics at TG23's PIR!

Just 1 hour, 55 minutes, and 45 seconds till we get to see the Countdown Clock roll to EXACTLY 14 days!!!!! Can't wait. Yes...I'm CAMPING on it! HooYah! Gosh I sure hope letters come today for those of us that missed our usual Wed/Thurs letters. It feels so odd. His GF has gotten them since the beginning. It will be a relief if they come today.

SRs have or had a chance to order them, and may have ordered for just themselves or the family too, so check with them if you feel you need to BEFORE ordering. They do not accept returns.

Comment by Crazy Blonde (Ship 2, Div-925) on April 20, 2012 at 12:17am: When our SRs become Sailors, and graduate at PIR we want to make sure we address them properly. They have EARNED it! :)

Many of them will no longer be Seaman Recruits! Some of our Sailors will have 2 or 3 stripes on the top of their left sleeve.

The stripes may be white/black, red, green or blue.
