While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My SR is my oldest, the first to leave the "nest". Went from him being here everyday, to not being able to even talk with him about day to day events.

Your SR's personality sounds alot like my SR. The most desciptive he has gotten has been when one of his buddies was stuggling. But I know in my heart that they will succeed! The Navy will make sure of it! ;o) This is something they wanted and prepared for and will take them farther than we can imagine.

Hang in there- in just a short time, you will be able to hug you "Sailor"!!!

I know I do not post on here much, but this site and all you moms, mean so much to me!!! I try to at least read each post over the course of the day. Knowing there are other moms (and GFs too) going through the same things and all willing to come beside eachother to walk this journey is awesome!

Spent some time cleaning out my SR's room yesterday. Found a bunch of old birthday cards from years past and read them. Made his favorite dinner and cake. Even though he was not here, it helped me feel a little closer to him.

So the pics for April 20th and April 27th should have our SRs.Congrats to the grads! Bravo Zulu Sailors!!!!! HooYah!

Just got to find the right airport for that weekend. For example where i am from i have two aiport options Buffalo or Rochester(always flew into Orlando) But at one point flying out of buffalo was 256 and flying out of Rochester was 113, Then the next month Rochester would be 300 and buffalo would be 100. haha. Aircarriers like to play mind games [= Hope my example helped.
