Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by Adrienne(ship 02/div 925) on April 12, 2012 at 11:11am: viv- haha! i bet she regreted that, but those do sound good right about now(i wish starbucks was at mcdonalds prices), my boyfriend ate everything...when it came to a real meal. he would be like can i have cookies!(at bootcamp he is known as cookie now, because when the desert tray comes around he eats all the cookies..lmao!)

Comment by vivianlee on April 12, 2012 at 10:55am: Our daughter did not train as hard as she should have, she sent a letter to her recruit officer telling all the incoming to run, run, run and train, train, train. But she LOVES Boot camp. I haven't heard anything negative yet. As mentioned yesterday she draws happy faces on all her letters. Although this is hell week, we'll see how she does. She wrote we she might be calling us today so the phone will be attached at all times. I just want to hear "I'm a Sailor!! Then I'll breath a little easier. Can someone tell me about Meet and Greet?

Comment by Adrienne(ship 02/div 925) on April 12, 2012 at 10:40am: -_- i was just thinking about it, my boyfriend failed the first PFA..because he had teninious(spelt that really wrong.lol) in his shoulder and was scared for the second one, he passed everything execpt the push ups. If he failed the second test and got held back a few weeks would i get a call?!

hopefully it is still in the mail and that they might find it, for my normal 3:30 delivery mail time. [=
I was thinking maybe because of easter that it might be a day late...Anyone else not get a letter today?
