Yes, I'm bringing my oldest son, grandson, and my SR's girlfriend. Expensive trip! Can't Wait!!!! 3 Weeks! Mine has been prepping too. He is extremely fit, I wouldn't be surprised if he is getting less fit, because I doubt this PT even holds a candle to how hard he works out daily when he trained at home. He wanted to be very fit in hopes he gets HM assigned to FMF. He wants to be a combat medic.
He's Ship 09, Div. 138.
He has been preparing for this for such a long time. I'm so glad it is everything he had hoped it would be.
Will you be there May 4th?
RyGy. My son is also enjoying BC! :) What Ship/Div is your son? You are so lucky to be so close.
It has been great received one phone call and several letters from my son. He is actually enjoying bootcamp. I can't wait to see him on the 4th...Anyone else from Chicagoland area not staying over night? I plan on just driving there in the morning less than 30 min. drive, and sad to be missing the 'meet and greet's" on Thurs.
juliebelle: You can send contacts/a small container of solution to your SR for PIR. They will just have to put away until that time. Label the outside of the padded envelope/small box so they know what it is (will have to open it anyway). Make sure your SR has asked that you send these before you do. We don't recommend that you just send without them asking.
Vivian, THANK YOU!!! (((((Hugs))))) for you and Emily! What an awesome fun letter!
CB,
YES! We got 2, one simply said I LOVE YOU DAD! Mine had a little more info. She said it looked like they were going to be able to make calls tomorrow!!!! So I'll have my phone in hand at all times.
She said a "baby" division just moved into the compartments. (What does this mean)
- She got her pictures taken for her ID's and NO SMILES.
-drill practice was chilly, left the drill house at 7:30 got back at 9:00
-they got kicked out of their inboard?? and pushed to outboard??
-They all have all of their uniforms, should get ID's in 3 weeks
-Next phone call is 4-5 DOT
-Get our Peanut Butter shots in 2 weeks, again what is that????
-2 inspections next week, on Monday PIWTI Personal Inspection Weapons Turnover Inspection, Then on Friday, Drill inspection (she said funny she is good with weapons)
She said a female left her chain out and is now walking around saying -
"I will not wear my chain like lil wayne"
And they sing -
"Momma momma can't you see,
what the Navy's done to me.
I used to drive a Chevorlet,
now I'm marching everyday.
Wo-oooah hey-aye- aye - aye
Momma Momma can't you see,
what the Navy's done to me.
I used to drive a cadilac,
now a seabags on my back.
Wo-oh-oh-oah, Hey-aye-aye-aye
- She said she was getting sick but that she didn't want to go to medical because she would miss PFA, PIWI, DI, ZONE, Test 2
- Week 4 - Hell week, (thats this week)
- Week 5-6 GAS CHAMBER
- New Cadence once they pass drill (again what is that??)
She closed with, she always draws a happy face in her food.
Very upbeat, happy faces all over the letter.
That was it, I wanted to hear more!!!
Any letters today??? PLEASE post whatever tidbits you get. Some of us are STARVING for info. LOL! Ours always come on Thursdays. I should say his GFs do. I will share what he tells her as soon as we she gets it! :)
