Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

You could not have selected prettier coins. I'm going to start his collection, beginning with Seaman Recruit and E-2, that he's already earned, and hopefully E3 pretty quick :) I'm getting the one for training command for PIR, Then I'll get the one for his A-School graduation and the HM after that. I will continue adding as he rates and ranks up, and also ones for is assignments and where he's stationed. I think it's an awesome grad gift to start their collection for them.

I've been following the group that graduates 1 week before our group. According to their letters home, the families are saying that they did MARLINSPIKE last week, so I'm thinking ours are probably doing it this week. Tough week of training if that's the case! Alot to learn this week. Hooyah! Go get em!

They are also saying that they just started receiving more letters per week from their recruits, and that their recruits say they are allowed to mail out 3 times per week now. Maybe that will happen for ours next week too (instead of just once per week).
