Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by Crazy Blonde (Ship 2, Div-925) on May 1, 2012 at 11:12pm: I had planned on posting this earlier the second my call came, (1:16 Great Lakes time) But I just went through the happiest and saddest day ever, so I've just now been able to keep it together enough to post.
I'm so proud of my son! I have a Sailor! He is promoted to E-3 and is now the RPOC. He started as the RPOC, but then they needed him to be the MAA, then they put him back to RPOC, like we had hoped they would. We are so happy!!!!!! He was so excited!
The call was the happiest call ever and then the saddest call ever because of news I had to share with him, that broke his heart. The news had to be shared today, it could not be put off longer. So right now, I'm a heartbroken basket case. :( Sorry to post sad news, but you have all been here for me, and I Thank You for that. I hope NO one EVER has to carry the burden I've carried for several weeks, then have to ruin their son's big day. But there was absolutely no way to wait any longer to tell him the sad news, or I would have waited. Breaks my heart, and broke his.

I could not be prouder. I have been on the phone and internet telling everyone I know! He has his Sailor's Hat. Wow! So Proud! I can't wait to see him Friday.
