When my daughter was nearly finished with A-school her husband was at bootcamp. She drew hearts and wrote I <3 U on the back and used pretty pink and purple envelopes and I told her he may get IT for those and she said, phssss, he's a big boy he can handle it, he could use a few extra push-ups lol and even with all her efforts nothing was ever mentioned about his envelopes lol. Her plan for buff husband with six-pack abs had failed lol.
...well, the 200 situps would help to produce some "awesome abs!" :-) I will say....you will see your new sailors in the best shape ever at PIR. They look so fantastic!
On the musical cards that people have sent in the past: Some SRs have been made to do push ups until "the music dies." That is a time when you hope that the battery is very weak! :-)
CrazyBlonde, Well She's TOAST! She gonna have to do like 10,000 sit-ups. Oh well I guess we're even, she left her bedroom in a complete disaster!! I haven't been able to bring myself to clean it yet. :)
I just read in one of the other post about NOT sending those "musical cards" Thank goodness I didn't , I thought about it but didn't. But then I read Not to put stickers on the outside of the envelope!! YIKES I did, do you think she will get in trouble over it?????
julibelle28 - :-(...I am afraid they are not doing trivia Tuesdays anymore. Here is what they are doing now:
RECRUIT INDIVIDUAL/DIVISION PHOTOS & DVD OF PIR/GRADUATION & YEARBOOK: If your recruit has not ordered any of these, you may contact the Navy Exchange Photos Lab after the graduation date to order at 847-578-6205.
The photo lab only keeps individual photos and yearbooks (if available) for about a year and division photos back about 10 years. Older items are are not available.
RANDOM PHOTOS OF TRAINING: Each week we will photograph various areas of training in boot camp and post the photos. We do not focus on any specific division nor do we ID who the specific divisions in the photographs. The emphasis is on the specific area of training and not a specific division.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT PHOTOS REQUESTS: We do not accept requests to photograph specific divisions. Please refrain from asking such a request by repeatedly posting it on our Facebook wall. Please also refrain from wishing out loud or jokingly posting such a request when you already know we do not grant such requests. Again, we are not focusing on specific divisions for photos, rather, areas of training exercises.
PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Each Friday afternoon, we will take a poll and post a photo album of five photos. We will ask you to vote on which photo you would like to be the Photo of the Week. On Monday morning, we will post the winning photo as the main photo on the Facebook page, and it will remain posted until the following Monday.
Craig's got my six,(google it!)...hooah! He always does! (hooah is AF for hooyah!)
Big Wheels are coool...love the pic...those things seemed indestructable!
Oh man Craig...uncool for your daughter...ha,ha though I am sure she is very well aware what is under the sheep skin!
I know about the site that diannep posted but am not aware of any others...yet. Have to look some more. I am looking for Army myself. So...I'll be looking...got your 6!
P.S. I hope your daughter does well...will keep her in my prayers!
CB, you crack me up lol. I have never seen anyone go to such extremes to stalk their mailman, I LOVE IT lol
CB- that mailbox idea is wonderful! Oh that made my day to see that. I check my box about three times a day between class and school work. And I stare out my dorm window watching the vans that pull up by the post office on campus. ITs exhausting.
