Thank you so much diannep !  This is great info!  I am going to print it out so I can reference it!  Since my son left my brain has been on vacation!  I'll be sure to keep my phone with me on 2-5.  So glad he shared that info with me :)

Welcome back, Betsy!  Missed you!

Comment by diannep on March 22, 2012 at 8:57pm

...also, they must have been told they will get to call on 2-5 (training week 2/day 5).  Be ready, but just know that sometimes these calls don't come in when they were "announced."  But you can hope and keep that phone glued to you!

Comment by diannep on March 22, 2012 at 8:55pm

Wyobraskamom:  1-1 means they are on training week 1/day 1.  This is different from bootcamp day count which starts with processing days (those don't count in training weeks).  They are ready for BattleStations, their final test before becoming sailors, when they reach 6-5 (week 6/day 5).  Remember, weekends/holidays do not count in the day count.  They are on "hold" during those days.

Yes, as Betsy said, it is possible, I think, that brother divisions could be in different ships, but each division (if all male) should have everyone together in the same ship.

Comment by diannep on March 22, 2012 at 8:51pm

Wait, juliebelle:  The only way they can be in the same division but different ships is if men/women are in the same division...they have separate barracks.

Thanks FTLW, We are having a great time catching up. I can't believe she just got here and leaves Saturday morning. It goes by way too fast.

Sorry I know I have seen the answer to this but I can't find it.  I think I saw that you could calulate when Battlestation would be based on the day your SR is in.  So if mine references day 1-1 what does that mean?  He also said he should be able to call on day 2-5?  Thanks for all the help everyone and sorry for the repeat question!  BTW I Got A Letter TODAY!!!

Betsy's right...cuz they are not brother divisions!

The "Ships" can hold 12-14 Divisions...normally twelve...but I think they can divide a compartment or something like that. I think Craig posted it once.

Once one Ship is filled up they move on to the next. The exceptions are the 800 and 900 Divisons. 800's have been in Ship 04 lately and 900's in 02.
