Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on March 22, 2012 at 2:50pm: Divisions will train together, as FTLW stated. The ship is actually the building where the SR's are living. Therefore, they could be living in a different building but still be training brother divisions.

Your SR's are in Divisions which are a part of a TG-Training Group. They all PIR on the same date...but they are not all on the same Training days. They are in brother Divisions 135 and 136 are brother divisions and so on. They train together and go through Battlestations (BS or BS21) together.The exceptions are the 800 and 900 Divisions. They will go through BS21 with a set of brother divisions. BS21 can accomodate up to four divisions at a time.
