Thank you ellen0502 on answering my question about parking on the Metra Station side!

I just did this for another group as far as MAPSs for RTC etc...your ahead of me folks! LOL I will post the discussion up above in the discussion Forum. At the bottom of it is a link to a map on the UPN page (it is a simple map) that shows the Metra Parking.

Also, ladies that were at the station...if I remember correctly...there is a roundabout on the station side? I drove over looking for parking and drove into it...barely got my rental through it as it was lined with taxis! Maybe folks could drop of some, go park and then walk back... if they have enough people so that there are not "singles" waiting or walking back alone?

Thank you for answering so quickly FTLW!

Two to four.
The minimun being two as brother divisons go through together and maximum being four as that is all the USS Trayer can accommodate.

I have a question about battlestations.  How many divisions do battlestations in a day?

Let me add to that too, the parking lot is up the hill across the tracks from the station.

If at all possible turn the corner to the parking lot and drop off those that need the ramp at the bottom of the hill. They will have to cross the street, but the street you turn on to is not busy, you either go to the base or into the parking lot. Those needing the ramp will then not have to walk down the hill to get to the ramp (there is a sidewalk) and then back up the ramp to get to the station.

Lala - that was awesome! Thanks for sharing

lixinnj, There is also a wheelchair ramp at the Station it is next to the stairs. The ramp is long but "shallow" my 82 year old mother had no problem with it, albeit a slow walk. Just give yourself some extra time.

I have a question about the train into Chicago. I have heard people talk about a huge staircase. My Mom will be with us and she doesn't have the best legs. I have talked her into bringing her cane. We could possibly be traveling with a dear friend of Ash's who lost his leg in an accident in March. He will have his prosthesis by then. Will these steps and distance be manageable for these 2?? I would prefer not to drive into the city and park 2 vechicles.

I can assure you, Lady H, that she knew what SR meant--since she had one but has had a sailor for a year...I have found that I sometimes do that myself, and I can guarantee you I know the difference between an SR and a sailor...and totally respect the work they put in to become sailors!  HOOYAH!

Anyway, laura, we welcome your help on any of the PIR groups you can help on.  Thanks so much!

Oh boy, Lala...I want to watch this...but know I will be a mess!  What a wonderful wonderful gift for his father!  Wow.
