jenn724 let us know how the Zombie 5k went! I'm doing the one in September!
Good Morning everyone :-) I wanted to share something with all of you. I am so happy to have this site to turn to for answers to any question I have about what my Sailor is doing or what is in store for her in the future. This site has been a God send for me. I have enjoyed being a part of so many PIR groups and getting to know all of you a little bit and some of you very well. I have made so many lifelong friends here that I now can't imagine life without. You are all a blessing to me. When we were in VA a couple weeks ago visiting our Sailor we went to the big NEX several times. It is much like a mall and filled with Sailors lol. You know I had to restrain myself from going up and talking to everyone of them and asking if their mom was a member of this site. Especially those who looked so young and you could tell they were still "pretty new" to this adventure. I wanted to hug each one of them and tell them how much we all care about and appreciate them. I am sure you all will feel the same way and will find yourself walking up to someone in uniform and thanking them for their service to our country.
lizinnj: For photos, the check should be made out to the Navy Exchange. If you want to make sure, call the Photo Lab on Monday

Here is a youtube video to get you all "excited" about PIR which will be here before you know it! Enjoy!
have a nice weekend ladies. My son has baseball practice today, and then I have errands to do . Tomorrow I am running a Zombie 5k, because my husband signed me up for my birthday in March. It sounded like fun back then...LOL
lol, my daughter asked everyone she wrote to send an airhead lol. She said they were flat and could fit in the letter without being detected. I guess she was needing some sugar pretty bad. Airheads are not as flat as she remembered lol and I refused to send one hahaha. I am surprised she wasn't asking for a piece of a fruit roll-up that was flattened out. That would have been much thinner than an airhead. But I bet the letter would have smelled yummy lol.
Yuck is right Liz, exactly why I can't open my windows lol. I would die from all that pollen..
Here...reading....then back to cleaning. I left the windows open and the pollen exploded outside. Every available surface was neon green.........gross!
My daughter has been sending all our letters in 1 envelope to save postage...got 4 yesterday.
Called the photo lab today to ask about paying for pictures and forgot the most valuable ??? Who to make the check out to? arggghhhhh
Good choice on leaving out the gummi bears, Jenn! No telling what they would have made her do with those...but she wouldn't have been enjoying whatever it was! :-)
Jenn your right, we do stalk the mail carrier. I mailed the makeup today too but forgot to mail the flat iron. I guess I better get that done tomorrow. Another trip to the post office, but it's my mail carrier that gets the worst of it, lol.
LOL.. I think we are all stalking the mail carriers these days.. Got mail from my SR yesterday, and her husband today.. Two drastically different accounts of bc...LOL I mailed her make-up, and flat iron today. She did request gummi bears, but I thought it best to leave those out...haha
lol, FTLW, He is the Man!!!!
