my SR called me and told me his PIR 5/25. ship 07/160and he leaves the next morning for his A school.
Lala, just disregard my comment on another group, as you just answered it on here. They all look so beautiful and your son is a lucky man to be able to escort so many cute girls.
Jenn, glad to see you will be splitting the trip into two days. I am normally not a soda drinker. The only time I drink any soda is when I am driving long distances and need to stay awake and alert. I drank so much Mt Dew on my trip to PIR that I almost ended up in the hospital and it took my body week to recover. Never again will I drink soda and never again will I drive that far without help in one day lol. You are much smarter than I was when I went :-)
Today I was a slacker, well as least on this site and the computer. I had a huge, very successful yard sale and then did hair and make-up for 3 girls going to prom and ironed shirt, pants etc for my son. The Navy will be teaching him how to that pretty soon, lol. They we took them all to a lake and took pictures and then to dinner at Outback (yum). They could have done dinner alone like most teens but wanted us there for some reason....maybe to pay the bill lol.I am pooped and heading to bed early. Goodnight everyone :-) The two girls in blue are my step daughters, the girl in white is their best friend (going into Air Force) and the boy is my youngest son, soon to be Sailor :-)
Have a great weekend, everyone!
I will be doing all of the driving myself. I think I'm leaving early Wednesday morning, stop for the night and planning to get to GL sometime Thursday afternoon. The only thing I'm sure of is the fact that I will definitely be procrastinating until the last minute... enjoy the yard sale..
I drove 16 hours, wish i could have flown. I can tell you that when my son goes to bootcamp and has PIR I will either fly or I will take 2 days to get there and 2 days to come home. I had to do all the driving myself and that was way too hard. It took me at least 3 weeks to recover lol. Off, to have our yard sale, Have a good day everyone!!!
Ha, you are so funny Lala... I have been trying to decide if I want to drive 18 hours to PIR or fly. The cost will be similar, and i will have my 5 year old with me either way. I can't seem to make a decision. LOL He also got stitches yesterday, so we spent the afternoon at the ER.
Thank yo ladies!!
Just a gentle reminder for the newer PIR groups and for any new members (Welcome!)
If your last name is in your username and it is the same as your recruits you will need to change your username. Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on the N4M's site.
If it is not the same it is still a good idea to change it as this is a public forum and anyone can read the site...they do not have to be a member.
Here is how to change your username:
To change your username on here.
Just go to "Settings" which is in the list in the far right hand column of this page...under where you sign out of N4M's.
Your profile page will open.
Under "Profile" Username is the third item down.
Clear the info and type in your new username.
Once you do that make sure to click "save" at the bottom right of the page.
If you need any help ...let me know. TY!
