Where should you sit during PIR? Here is some info that may help you decide :-) Dianne and I both agree the best seat is the highest row you can get in the lower section. If you sit in the balcony section the railing will be in your pictures. There will be a Sailor standing beside a DIV sign for each divisions section. To get the best possible view of your Sailor you will want to sit in that section. You may want to write to your Sailor and ask where they will be when they march in, 1st row next to last, right in the middle, front row carrying a flag etc. That way you can look for him/her. Some families never see their Sailor until after the ceremony and then later can pic them out on the DVD and some families watch the wrong Sailor the whole time lol. They all look so much alike. If they are in the performing division they won't march in like the other divisions. They will come from different places depending on what they are doing. There are a couple pictures below to show you the difference in sitting in the lower or upper section for taking pictures.
Added a MARLINSPIKE Discussion. Your recruits do this near the end of week 3.
Praying that your daughter does not have asthma T's mom.
I'm still in TX visiting my son (now out of the Navy). We went to River Walk in San Antonio and saw lots of Air Force servicemen and also groups of sailors in their handsome dress whites. Makes you so proud to see our men/women in uniform!
Hey ladies, just wanted to tell you that tonight at 6:30 pm great lakes time as we were returning our Sailor to base, I saw 928 marching. They all looked good and I wanted so badly to take a picture for you or go hug each and every one of them for you - but of course I couldn't do either. Just know they looked good and were marching well tonight!
yeah to all letter receivers. It sure feels great to hear from them. Bandaids bought and gonna send here some asap. We sent some with her but I afraid she might not have enough. Have put the word out to the family to send them also. sending a few from all of us should help her abit.
Theresa, My daughter also had Asthma as a child and hasnt had problems with it for years. I pray eventhing works out for your daughter.
Got letters today, 6 of them. I stick bandaids or stamps in every letter. I had a good friend send precut mole skin as well. Glad to have that connection again, I was feeling so lost.
Yay Theresa! Good luck with the asthma issue too
