Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It is so sad. Phil said maybe she moved them but I think he was just trying to make me feel better. I don't think it would be possible for her to build a new nest and move them :-(

I can turn my head more now, not back to normal but getting closer each day and my toe looks horrible but doesn't hurt anymore (as long as I don't bump it) lol. It looks like I will loose the nail but maybe not.

Our baby birds hatched on Saturday. I could see them with their beaks in the air yesterday evening when I go home. This morning she was sitting on the nest but by this afternoon the nest was empty. No one touched it or even got close. I just can't figure out where they went :-(

Every morning I say to my husband are you going to call today to see how he is doing (knowing he can't) and He kisses me on my forehead and says he's fine .. it helps :-) did I mention he is our only child ugh!!!!!!

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on April 16, 2012 at 11:45am: I was the same way and actually booked tow different hotels and canceled one when I finally made up my mind lol. Luckily most of them do not charge or place a hold on your credit or debit card until you check in and they don't charge a cancellation or change fee and allow you to cancel up to the day you arrive :-) So book both and then figure it out lol.
