Hoping that 161/162 call in the next hour or so???  We THINK they went through last night, but not sure.  Time will tell!

I will be on a train in 2 days.  Can't wait to see my girl.

Comment by eileenz on May 21, 2012 at 9:44am

Good morning, everyone. It is so cool to see "3 days" on the countdown!!!

SHmother:  If she passes her PFA, she will be able to do BattleStations all the way through Thurs night before PIR.  So glad you are still packed!   If she happens to do them Thurs night, she may be in the balcony too tired to march after being up all night but even then, some of them manage to march.  Prayers for her!

Lala;  How neat!  Don't know if I told you that my older son works for the NASCAR speedway down here.  He loves it.  Gets to travel up to Daytona for their races and works those.  He works long hours during the season, but really is in "his element."  Getting a brand new F-250 company truck to drive (which means no need for a personal truck anymore, and no more gas, mechanical, or insurance payments!  YAH!)...was an added incentive!

My nephew did as your son did.  He is now a paramedic and works the races as one down here many times.  He loves it.  I know your son must too!

Good morning everyone!

He has watched from the pits before and been with the ambulance crews a couple times as a first responder volunteer but this is the first time ever to be a part of the actual pit crew. I am sure this is something he will never forget :-) Here is the young man to watch for :-) My handsome son, well one of my handsome sons lol.

Comment by lizinnj on May 19, 2012 at 10:19pm

Is this his first time in the pits? To this day, I can recall in detail standing behind Michael Waltrip's pit. I was awestruck at the speed, heat, vibrations and how flipping fast those boys move. If only our gas stops were that quick!

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on May 19, 2012 at 10:10pm

Thanks so much lizinnj, I am so glad your ribbons arrived and that you love them. I know you will wear them with pride :-)

We all love Concord Mills, That is an all day event when we go there lol.

And it would be easier to spot him if hadn't gotten a hair cut right before he left. The curls I am used to seeing poking out from under his ball cap are no longer there lol. My Sailor is recording it just in case we see him or if we don't maybe he can point himself out to us lol,
