LaLa .....first, I love the ribbons. Thank you so very much! 2nd.... watching the race. I love that track!!!! Did the charity walk for Victory Junction Camp there a few years back. Plus...excellent shopping at Concorde Mills!!! Hope you get to see your son on tv!
We are having a pretty exciting evening in our house :-D My 18 yr old son has been training for several weeks with the fire department on how to put out fires in cars or in car crashes. Tonight he is working as a volunteer for the Pit Crew for Denny Hamlin in tonight's all star race. So whenever Denny Hamlin comes into pit road we will likely see him. And in case there is a fire he is ready. He is super excited as you can imagine. What a fun and exciting adventure for our future Sailor :-)
@kellyc Im sure everyone is right that you probably would have recv a call if something bad happened. My daughter called last niht to tell us that she did not pass her run and swim test so she was not going to graduate. She does get a chance this week to take it again before graduation so we have not unpacked and are praying that all goes well. She is in div 162 .
So glad that you are continuing with plans, kellyc. If she passed her final PFA, then don't worry...she will definitely pass BattleStations. The few who have to repeat it--- pass the 2nd time for sure. Just hoping that her call didn't come because she had "watch," etc. Hoping you hear something soon.
Although I did not receive my I'm a Sailor call yet, I am continuing with packing and travel arrangements.. Just spoke to Sarge and he is picking up my mother in law and I at O'Hare.... he is sooo nice and is e-mailing me information :)
kelly: I should clarify that she can only post on FB if she is a sailor at this point so any postings on there would be good! Hoping that you hear from her today.
Thanks for the article FTLW!!
Captains Cup today...Good Luck to all the Divisions!
Here is an article about CC:
kellyc - Yes...she would definitely call if something "bad" had happened...but not necessarily when the good does! Like the other moms have said, they may have watch, etc and don't get to call. Hugs to you!
