Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I know my son worked out for several months before he left and it was still tuff. Your daughter has made great strides since she has been at BC...so she will get there. We will keep praying for her!

I know you heart is broken, but stay positive for her. I am sure she feels as if she has let you down. Keep us posted. I'll be waiting to hear the great news.

Now. sometimes the ladies on this site will decide on a color to wear in a certain division to show support for that division. A little late to do that for this group though. Thinking that maybe this is a joke??? To see how many wear purple? :-) Maybe Lala has more input since her daughter was in a 900 division, but I have been on the site for getting close to 3 yrs and have never heard of that before.
