Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Ajsmom (ship 13 div 269) - We are leaving Cleveland, Ohio about 7am on the morning of July 18th. We won't get to the Navy Lodge 'til about 3pm that day. Just enough time to shower, change, and get over to Sarge's Meet & Greet.

skinkneelove - We are staying at Navy Lodge. We are driving and will arrive on Wednesday night (July 17) We are about 8.5 hours away. It is way cheaper for us to drive than fly as we have a 15 and 13 year old also.

skinkneelove - We are driving. But, we are only about 7 hours away. I am renting a car, though. So, it will be a bit of an expense between that and gas. I like the flexibility, though.

Awesome! @MomlovesRyan and @D<3Navy! I can't wait! My husband's parents really wanted to go to see him graduate but its so expensive, I never realized how much flying was! Just the other day i was going through my mom's old photos and found a airplane ticket round-trip that was only $15 in 1991! I wish prices were still like that!

Yes skinkneelove - we will be there!!! Just my Mom and I can go (Gmother) due to the expense of flying the whole family! Tooooo many hours to drive! My husband and 2 other sons will be watching live from home!!

Ajsmom. The division number will stay the same and is it the name of the ship the Kearsarge? If it is that is ship 11.

D❤Navy - I think Sarge's is until 9:30 (?) So, depending on when Taps is.....(does anyone know?) ....we should be able to be back on time.
