Hi, I did not realize that there where others with SR's in the same situation as my son.  He has not passed his run test either.  He is in Div 253.  Please pray for him.  As I will pray for SR's OcoeeMom and dukelvr.  It is the not knowing when they are testing that is difficult.  I was up at 3:30 a.m. praying this morning. All the SR's need to pass their PEA's.

I will keep your recruits in my prayers as well. Like Diannep said they still have several more chances and if they don't pass they will call. If they do call it will be a scripted call and they will tell you not to come to PIR. If that happens DO NOT panic and DO NOT cancel your plans just yet. They can continue to try and pass up a couple days or so before PIR and then do battle stations with a different division if necessary. They could even do them on Wednesday or Thursday night with a division from the next PIR group. If that happen they may be too tired to march for PIR but the important thing is they would still be a Sailor and would still be at PIR. Don't cancel anything without checking with one of us veteran moms. Hang in there the can do this!

Comment by dukelvr on August 1, 2012 at 7:53pm

I'm hoping he does! Already got the flights, hotel, and rental car for the trip...so he better pass everything! Lol, just very stressful, but I can't imagine what he is going through. I hope we all find things out soon!

Ladies, no matter what they did in the first 2 PFAs, they must pass the 3rd and final one.  Of course, if they passed the first two or came really close to passing, this shouldn't be a problem.

OcoeeMom:  Prayers for him.  And....he should have more chances to pass..several more....before his PIR.  He will not be allowed to go through BattleStations until he passes.  If they don't pass with their division, they will be put in the FIT PROGRAM (Division) where they will continue to try.  This happens often and most get it done before PIR.  But even if they don't, they are not out of the Navy.  They will continue in FIT until they do pass.  For some, it takes several weeks.  They then do BattleStations with the next group going through and head straight to A School, no PIR then.  Hoping that all in this group get it done so they will be at PIR!

Prayers that all will pass their 3rd and final PFAs!

OcoeeMom, my boyfriend is in the same Division. He also failed his second PFA, only by 13 seconds! They do have a third one though, so they still have another chance!!

NavyGirlzMom:  I would call the Public Affairs Office and run that by them.  Does he have a school photo ID from last year?  If so, bring that.  That with the temp/paper ID should suffice, but doublecheck with the PAO.

I agree, answer that call, surely they will realize the importance of that one special call :-)

Comment by diannep on July 31, 2012 at 3:09pm

NatesWife:  The I'm a Sailor calls can start as early as 2 pm GL time...but many times, start later.  I would try and see if you can get "special permission" that day to answer your phone!  Maybe bring in a helper!  :-)  This is a WONDERFUL call!
