We got our "i'm a sailor" call at about 3:40 CT today.  Unfortunately, he said 2 fell asleep and have to retake on Thursday night but will get to graduate Friday.  Long 8 weeks thank heavens it's almost over.

Wednesday Picture Cards

So close to the best hug ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations and safe travels to all of you.

Please come back and tell us all about your PIR and time with your SAILOR, we love hearing the stories!!!!

Congrats to 940 sailors today!  They are now sleeping, snug in their racks, 2 hours earlier than normal!  I bet most were asleep before their heads hit the pillows!  :-)

Comment by diannep on August 14, 2012 at 9:12pm

You all are very welcome!

Hey, why don't you all drop into those groups behind you...where the ladies need some encouraging words about now....and share your experiences?  It helps to hear from people who have traveled this path and are almost done....gives them courage and hope!  So feel free to do that!

There are PIR groups scheduled for each Friday after yours....through 09/28 at this point....so pick a group or all of them and post a message to them!  The ladies would so appreciate it!

I want to second ibmom's comment.  Thank you so much to the veteran mom's - FTLW, lemonelephant, diannep and others. Blessings to each and every one of you!

Thanks to all the veteran moms who have helped us through this.  I see posts from all the moms and gfs who have recruits just starting out and feel their pain.  Those first few weeks were almost impossible to bear.  All your knowledge has helped so much.  One more long night for mine, then we should have a sailor.

Comment by le85(MC/Rota) on August 14, 2012 at 6:28pm

Congratulations to all the new sailors in Div 940!

Curleytop - My daughter also said she didn't know she could march while she slept.

Comment by diannep on August 14, 2012 at 3:19pm

There is a BattleStations on Thurs night for the next PIR group, so anyone who passes the PFA in the morning can do that one...they will be very sleepy for PIR after being up all night, and probably in the balcony, not marching, but there!
