Congrats on the calls today!

AmOm:  Why is she only getting 2 hours a sleep?  Was that just for one night?  They use to be able to rouse the SRs in the middle of the night, but then a rule was passed a good while back that made it mandatory that they get a certain amount of hours of sleep a night.  They DO get up in the middle of the night to iron though...not sure how often....

There can be many reasons calls get cut short, it would not be because of a position they hold in BC (unless they are on watch then no phone call) I wouldn't think.

Not enough time for all to make long calls, phone calls are a privilege and someone took advantage, the rest get cut (I am not saying this is what happened), and it could just be the RDC. Who knows!

Your SR may also tell you in a letter that they earned a call and will be calling on _____ and you never get that call. It does not mean your SR did something wrong!! It is just the nature of the phone beast in BC.

Yeah. Got my first call. Everyone in 14/257 is saying they got 15min. I got 1 min. She called a friend for 3 minutes. Do officers less time? She said she's doing great but only gets two hours of sleep so she is completely, exhausted and stressed. She said she's the only one jn the positions like hers who hasn't been fired. She says its lots of PT and studying. She said the mail is really slow coming and going but that I should get another letter soon. Watch your mailboxes.

Wow! I go on hear to vent and look what happens. My seamonkey calls to say he is totally fine. Oh my gosh..what a feeling. Thank you God!
He said he has ship staff watch??? Is that the same as night watch.
Oh and I made a typo below. Same PIR date getting phone calls. Not div. I hope you all receive phone calls soon. It truly does help you breathe and move forward. If not today, tell yourself there is always tomorrow.

Seamonkey, I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat or you could say, the same ship. I look forward to checking the mailbox every day but so far only one letter and no phone calls. Just think, we're almost half way there!
