Good morning ladies! Lala is right. When I first came on this site in Feb, I just read all the comments. Gathering up all this great information. I really couldn't and still can not get through my separation from my SR if it wasn't for this website. For those that don't want to post, that's okay. I didnt until my SR left 6/20. But when you do, trust me, these wonderful moms know what us newbies are going though. Being a single mom, I realized I'm not alone. Thanks for the awesome support. Now let's pray I get my 1st letter today! :)
Good Morning ladies!
I know there are some of you already on a couple of facebook groups :-) And that is great. However, we want you to be sure and keep this page active as well. There are lots of people who do not "Do" Facebook and they will be here looking for others who have the same PIR and DIV. There are also those who come here to read your news and comments but they are too shy to post anything. But if you keep this page active they sometimes will get brave and start posting just like you. Sometimes having a family member join the Navy is not the only new experience for a lot of people. Many of them have never used a computer either :-) And I am sure they would like to get to know you as well.
Here are some of the more active facebook groups with members from all the PIR groups and DIV. Some are closed or private and some are not so you still have to be careful and not post your Sailors personal information.

You don't have to go to or join facebook. you will get all the info you need on this site and we are all here everyday to answer your questions but If you decide you want to start your own private facebook group or DIV group we suggest that one of you make it yourself that way you know who is in the group. There are lots of groups created by other people who may or may not even have a family member in the Navy and you just always need to be careful.
And please, no matter what come to this group page every day and post any news, comments or questions so everyone can benefit from it :-) Thanks!!!
Jose'sMom: My son went to Meridian after bootcamp. Is that where your son is headed? He flew out the day after PIR. Doesn't mean that will happen for sure now, because there are changes sometimes. But probably....
Good morning all!
My son is going to "A" school in MIssissippi after BC, anyone else have a child going also??
Yep, Jill. We have panicked ladies often post on here that their SRs said that their entire division is being threatened with being asmoed. Although I guess that is possible, we have never heard of it, but for sure, individuals can/will be asmoed.
For you trivia buffs: ASMO= ASsignment Memorandum Orders. Those are just what the acronym stands for... but diannep is correct, it means they will be set back and reassigned to another division hopefully to graduate at a later date. My son in law said the RDC's threatened them with this constantly.
seamonkey: Asmoed means "setback in training." They are removed from their division/PIR group and will resume training at a later date with another division/PIR group. This can be for discipline, illness/injury, academic failure, etc.
I added a group pic for you leanne34!
