For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Just make sure to stay on this page as well because there are many people here who don't "do" facebook and they all need moms and families on here too. :-)

Comment by my2boyz (ship 11 div 131) on July 2, 2012 at 12:41pm: I know what you mean AmOm. I was on my son the last 3 months asking if he needed any help with setting up he's bills or anything. All taken care of he said. He text'd me while at the airport : "Don't get mad, but I forgot to set up my automatic Visa payment." I thought why would I get mad knowing he still needs my help. :-) I would adopt them all too.

Look up above in the discussion forum and you will see the one for 250. I have asked joanie if she would like to add 249 to the title as someone else from 249 has posted on there already. I can friend joanie and se if I can get a hold of her!

They would not excuse they would only postpone until beginning of October. They said until he finishes boot camp and gets orders as to were he would be they could not excuse him.
