NAVY PIER/MUSEUMS/GURNEE MILLS MALL

Many like to go to the Gurnee Mall (close by) on PIR day as time is short...the "Sailor Strut" is a must for many as it is the first time they are allowed to wear that well earned dress uniform in Public! It is HUGE and is in a "Z" shape form. It has a Bass Pro ShopOutdoor World in it...lots of the men Sailors love that one!

Does anyone know what they're planning on doing after PIR? My husband wrote me to research what there is to do. He says since he hasn't seen any of Illinois apart from the bus ride from the airport, it'd be nice to know what it looks like haha

...anything received after PIR Day is forwarded to A School.

Comment by diannep on August 10, 2012 at 2:39pm

We aren't sure when their last mail delivery is....I would think the day before PIR?  Maybe even PIR day, but not sure on that.

Hoping to see more of you post here today!  Good Morning!

Does anyone have any BattleStations dates for this group?  If you have heard one from your SR, please friend request/private message it to me.  I will be keeping a schedule.  We are not allowed to post them on the pages here, just private message them.
