Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on July 16, 2012 at 9:11pm: Debi K - The Ships are where they live during BC. Each Ship on RTC can hold 12-14 Divisions ( and there is a way to adjust the walls to allow for more.) Each Ship is named for real Navy vessels.
Divisions are groupings of recruits. They start out with 88+. A Training Group is made up of many divisons. Brother divisions are usually berthed on the same Ship. BUT, not all of the divisions in a TG are on the same Ship. So, Ship 03 is the building, and it is named after the USS Hopper...Div 277 ...the recruit is assigned to Ship 03 Div 277.

How to add a Discussion - Go to the bottom left corner of the Discussion Forum area (It's actually just above the comment box here.) and click "Add a Discussion".

Fill in the Title and any description you like.

For DIV discussion Titles a suggestion would be:

SHIP ##/ DIV ### (or you may have your Discussions as Brother Divisions and post both Divisions in the Title. Start with the odd number first SHIP ## / DIV ### and ###. They are usually on the same SHIP…but if it is different, then post that too!)

Simple as that! Then the other members from your div can reply and you can connect up even closer there.

Please, only one discussion per Division, Thanks!

Remember that you are ALL part of this TG though and to stay on the main pages to talk here too! Plus, we veteran moms mostly stay on the main pages of the groups. There are 7-8 PIR groups running at one time and so we do not get to the DF's as much. We do check them as often as we can...OPSEC rules apply there also.
