I have ADDED "Boot Camp for Dummmies" to this Discussion:

I have always been meaning to and just plain forgot! It has great Power Points by Craig (retired Navy) in it!

I want to thank you too for forming your division discussions as well as forming them as "brother division" discussions.

When my son went through BC we had individual ones (which is fine also!) but our brother div never had one :-( and their were only two moms from it that actually posted. But they would post on ours too!

Hello everyone!!

My daughter arrived @ GL on July 10th and we just received her box and letter today!!...She is in Ship 3...Div 277.

We were actually anticipating a PIR date of Sept. 7th, so were pleasantly surprised to see it moved up a week...Luckily the one other female recruit she left with is with her in the same ship and div...I'm sure her mother will be along shortly, as well as another mom from the July 10th shippers...Looking forward to connecting and getting to know all of you!! :)

Thank u diannep & momplus2 for the encouraging words. I know it will get better. Just waiting...

Comment by nursecat(ship 2/ DIV 942) on July 16, 2012 at 5:42pm

So... no letter again today. Seems as if I am the only div 942 mom on here who hasn't gotten it. Hopefully tomorrow

Comment by diannep on July 16, 2012 at 4:55pm

No matter what kind of envelope it is in, momplus, you will recognize your SR's handwriting...or maybe not because they have to write in "Navy type" which is very neat print!  Hope you get the letter soon!

Comment by momplus2 on July 16, 2012 at 1:31pm

nursecat...thank you for your positive comments...it is comments like yours that get me through the next day. I too, had a really bad night. I have one more hour before the mail comes to go check...I wonder does it come in a regular white envelope or a different size and color?....oh well....I just don't want to miss it and get mixed up with the junk mail.....I will keep check in later today.Thank you for being there for me....Hugs

Be sure to ask your SRs what training [week/day they are on and put it on your calendar.  The divisions will be at different points of training, but all within a few days of each other.  269/270 will be first to start and finish.
