~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning!
"Many are the plans in a man's heart,
but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Proverbs 19:21
Lala,
It's good that your doctors will be adjusting meds for your mom--hope everything will be smoothed out quickly! Your poor legs!! May you and your hubby not come across anymore insect homes in the staining of your deck!! Prayers for you~~
Although remember for some of us - at least a week :(
We will be celebrating with all the 'early birds' while saying our private prayers and hoping that we are able to have a call too! Way I figure it 340/339 team, it all depends on whether they worked last weekend and when they work this coming one! So, who knows where WE are at!
Yes, VeteranSailorMom! I'm thinking....hmmmm....in a little over 48 hours, some should be hearing that they have sailors!
Good Morning everyone, shouldn't we be seeing some post from loved ones getting "I'm a Sailor" phone calls in the next day or two??? Things should start getting exciting!! Have a great day everyone - I look forward to all the happy posts that will be coming soon!
Oh my, Lala. When it rains, it pours! Poor thing...tired and sore legs, AND ant bites. Hope that today is a better day for all of you all and that your mom starts improving!
Catmom, we did manage to get one of the decks stained yesterday. My hubby did most of it but I did help for a couple hours in the evening when I came home from the hospital for a while. The evening hours seems to be when most visitors come so I came home to help while she had my brother there with her. That two hours of staining made my legs so sore from bending and squatting and I got into an ants nest and my feet are covered in bites :( We will have to continue to work on the back deck a little each evening until we get it done. Just hope we have a few more days without rain.
Thanks so much everyone we really appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. They admitted her to ICU. She has way too much carbon dioxide which is exactly what i thought. We have seen this several times with her and you begin to know the signs. Sadly she is on lots of medication. She was a smoker, quit 20 years ago but so much damage was already done. She has COPD and her lungs are just terrible. So she breaths in (Oxygen 24/7) but has such shallow breaths she doesn't release enough carbon dioxide. She also has congestive heart failure and Parkinson's disease and is on a blood thinner. They found that her heart medication was way too high a dose and was also cause many of the problems. So they took her off that and will be doing something different with a lower dose. We are getting ready to meet with the doctor in about an hour. I told her I have hundreds of people praying for her and she had a huge smile on her face. We really appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. After we meet with the doctor I will come back home and finish up my work I did last night take that all to the PO and then head back to the hospital this afternoon. I cannot even begin to express how much I appreciate all of you <3
Good Morning All !
