~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hello Friends!
"Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit in me."
Psalm 51:10
Donna: Ahhhh....Labs....I am so in love with Labs! Had them in my family since I was in high school and my brother brought home our first pup! That was in the early 70's! Our current one is a rescue....and he has my heart. 10 yrs old now (had him since he was almost 5). We had a black one like yours named SLATE who was adorable! Lived until 17 yrs old!
Why can't kids be as loving, forgiving, adoring, and trusting as our pups are??? :-) Can't imagine life without my dogs!
Good Morning All !
Donna, maybe you could get him a big dog pillow and use your SR's blanket to make a cover for it :) I bet he would love that :)
Jordan"Mom, I am the one who has the embroidered HERO shirts, you choose the style of shirt, color of shirt and color of embroidery, Diannep posted the link to my website below :)
Thanks so much everyone, so glad you liked the letter :)

Sharla: Renting a car is still the most cost effective way to get around up there. But if you aren't comfortable doing that, you may want to contact Sarge and use his shuttle services. If you share his cabs with others on this site, it will save all of you some money. He does airport pickups/drop offs and will take those of you who want to wait at the airports with your new sailors until they leave out there also. Like I said, he does give discounts to Navy personnel.
I sure hope your enjoying your Monkey Farts lol. It was a pleasure to make it for you :)
I dont know that I can tell you the order- my memory of the first time is a bit off- but what I remember is that battle stations is last. It is not a specific day of the week as they have to get all graduating division through in about a 7 day window, plus there is a holiday that they have to work in there. Once the division is finished with battle stations, they still keep busy with paperwork and all the stuff to process everyone from GL to their A schools.
If you are not comfortable with driving, I would use taxi's. Even though we drive to GL last time, we used a taxi for PIR and getting my SR back to base. My SR just wanted to hang out and do nothing- breath and not think- so did not want to sight see or shop. He couldn't take anything back to base and we did not plan on going to the airport so it did not make sense to shop. When he got to A school, he made a few friends and they pooled together for a taxi to go the mall and get a new cell phone and a laptop. I don't know that everyone will get that opportunity, it is just what I remember.
