N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

JLM-MN,

You can bring your cushion with you, but the best thing to do is plan on being at the RTC gate when it opens at 6:30 am, so that you can get one of the seats against the wall in the lower bleachers to support your back~~  If you take Sarge's shuttle, he brings you right to the gate to have access to RTC, then you walk over to the graduation hall, check in with your id, then into the museum and hall to get your seats.  Get the seats first--put sweaters/light jackets down, then if you want, come back to look at the museum.  You might want to leave a family member to make sure your seats against that wall are saved.  Sit just to the left of the Division # sign.

You're welcome Donna. The div earned the Scholastic Flag. I am defiantly praying for a longer call this weekend! :-)

I received a letter and a short call from my SR today. I only got to talk to her for a second because her brother and sister were both eager to talk to her. She did tell her brother that her div earned a flag and that she can't wait for PIR.

Oops sorry for any spelling and grammar errors...I'm shopping and typing at the same time!

Marlinspike does take place in Training Week 3, so different for each Division.
I have a post with pics that I will put in the DISCUSSION FORUM area in a while.

Captains Cup takes place the Saturday before PIR. So, August 31 for this TG.

The picture taking referred to earlier was for their military ID also known as CAC - Common Access Card...much more than just an ID.

There BC pictures will not be taken until sometime in Training Week 4...after their Blues come back from tailoring.

I believe "classification personnel" is to go over there contracts and check that they are on track for their ratings? That's a bit of a guess so maybe another vet mom has insight AND I can research it later :-)

Did I get it all?LOL

Well of course my husband took the calls, and since he never looks here, wasn't aware that HE WAS SUPPOSED TO ASK!!!!!!! Ha ha. I asked him so many questions & he was like, no I didn't ask that, no I didn't think of that.....grrrrr. :). From what I have read, I think Marlinspike should be tomorrow, 3-5, right? If we really do get more calls this weekend, we will all have to share!! I know my SR did say that many were struggling with the weapons stuff tho :(

When did they start coming in??? I hope div 331 did well enough to get a call!!!

Thanks FireTeamLeader! Now, I know the lingo... And I did a great job of transcription! :)

I want a call now! Maybe div 331 will finish some of their stuff tomorrow... Now, I'm worried I won't get one when I wasn't even expecting one until a few hours ago!!

Yes, my SR called, I missed it! Darn it :(. Hubby got to chat with him, so of course I am trying to drag info out!!!! Lost his AROC position, but is trying to get it back (love the attitude!!!!), doing well with weapons exchange turnover procedures (or something like that), but some are struggling with that.....that's all I got, so I will keep digging for more info as the night goes on!

PFA is physical fitness assessment.

PI/WTI is personal inspection / weapons turnover inspection.

DMI/ZONE is departmental material inspection and zone inspection . DMI is on bed making, folding and stowing of gear. ZONE would be the compartment itself, even the RDC's area is inspected. Other top ranking personnel do the inspections not their own RDC for this.
