Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Great Sailor photos each and every one!

So I did get to see A last night again. He is all moved over to A School (Great Lakes) and he and two others had liberty last night. They have to go out in groups of 3 while they are still in Phase 1 liberty. It was fun to meet the other two guys and the time went so, so quickly. Looks like we will get the same tonight.

My other son who was with me for graduation told me yesterday that he is thinking of enlisting in the Navy now. Oh my ladies - don't know that I have it in me to do this again so soon. I will support him no matter what but not quite ready to give another go at the roller coaster!

Lol... How wouldn't we recognize our little mamma Mrs. B. Cute!!!! Love the pic Maureen.

Everything is so calm now. It seems odd. After living on the edge for 8 weeks it feels wrong somehow to be at peace. I still miss my girl very much, but I'm not as worried. I can text and email her whenever I want. In fact I just sent her a big box of STUFF. Mostly healthy snacks and some requested items, but I could do that now. I guess if I need a rush I can always go live through it again with other groups. Lol... I think I'll pass. =)

Keeping C in my thoughts and prayers for BS's tonight. Seems like ages ago already that D was doing his. Have a wonderful time at PIR !! Its the greatest experience.
