For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Mary - I took pictures of the recruits sitting in the far end of the hall (closest to 301) if he was upstairs I might have some of him. =) About 200 photo's I think are just finishing up.

Iris - we will just have to SKYPE some time and have a delayed happy dance!! I ended up forgetting my purse at home 1 hour from home, having to back track and get it, and then double time..but I still didn't make it:/

Maureen - I'm so glad you had your son all weekend. What a treat! We saw H. off Saturday morning so we decided to stay in Chicago near the airport that last night. Great photo of your son, and yes, he is a very handsome young man. Sorry we never hooked back up except for that quick hello by the pool. Lol... we did everything H. wanted to do in that short time. What a whirl wind weekend, but so wonderful.

Aw, Maureen, how nice this is. I am so happy you got him all weekend. I hated leaving my son yesterday knowing he won't leave until tomorrow for "A" school.

Hello All.
WOW, what a weekend we had huh ? Im still smiling from ear to ear. So proud of D !! Thanks to all that came to the Meet N Greet. I think we had a great turn out. Was nice to meet so many of you. Sorry that I didnt get to you all...I did try though.
D checked into Corpsman A school the same day as PIR. He loves his roomate and said that all were very helpful to him. We were one of the lucky ones that got their Sailor for the whole weekend, including overnight. Just enjoyed being with him and hearing all about BC. He still has a cough but seems to be getting better. He promised me if he didnt feel better in a week, he would go back to medical.
Here are a few pics. Will post some more later on. Been a busy day today. The first pic is me getting the first hug and us both crying...was a special moment.
Here he is in his peanut butters....what a handsome man I have there :))))

newmom60 - I posted a comment on your page...my daughter may have gotten a pic but I won't know until she comes in from college. She uploaded pics to her laptop we took with us and she has it with her today.
