Morning Ladies -
Mary - Lol... I'm shocked your son didn't want you to save the mowing. That's a family favorite here. Lol....
Dyl's Mom - Spain, so cool! And absolutely the shot glass is important. How long will he have in port? I hear Virginia is beautiful in the fall, so that's a bonus. Hope you get that call soon. =)
Nicole - Love the photo's. Glad things are working out for you and you guy.
So, hmmmm.... I'm a little concerned about him wanting you to reconsider your plans. It has seemed to me that going into the Navy has been something you have wanted for a while now and have worked really hard to make happen. You might just wait and see how he feels after boot camp and things settle down a bit before you change your plans. He's missing you something fierce right now and I'm sure he doesn't mean to, but he's not exactly thinking about what your career goals are. He just wants you with him always, which isn't a bad thing, but you also have to look at the long term for yourself too. Bottom line, I wish you all the happiness in the world and whatever you decide to do will be the right path for you. From my experience, not getting your education done while you are young, limits your options later on, so I'd say bite the bullet and weather the separations early on in the relationship. If it is the right one, he'll still be there when you are done and you'll both be happier in the end. Hope that makes sense and doesn't come off as if I'm poo pooing your relationship, cause that is not my intentions. What ever your decision, you have my support. Just mom-ing you cause I care. Hugs sweetie. =)
So, not much to report, but knowing me I'll still write a bit. Lol...
Cody is starting his P-90X today. Yay! He's happy to be back in action. His knee is doing really well so, I imagine, he'll be back in action for PT. He's currently looking for a new car. Nothing so far, but finding a good, cheap, reliable rig, can take time. Meanwhile, we are sharing my van. Takes some scheduling, but so far, so good. I got the go ahead to start back to derby practice this Thursday. Woo Hoo... I have scheduled an outdoor skate on Sunday and will try to do it every Sunday through the summer. Apparently it helps improve your skating ability. And lord knows, I need the help. Lol.... Haley is doing well. She is just working, getting her cert's out of the way, and having fun with her friends. She bought a car and loves it. Now I expect her to do some exploring of Hawaii. She can't wait for us to visit in September. I think she's a little home sick. =( But that is to be expected. At least she isn't on a ship and we can skype.
Well, that's about it. Hope everyone is doing well and hearing from your Sailor's. Hugs and RSL to you all.=)
Thanks Donna(:
Cute pictures Nicole!!!
nicole, sounds awesome for your bf.... and you! hope things keep going your way!
thanks Donna! i looked for his pic on facebook and didn't see it in the crossing or the bbq. darn! i did get an email from him that they will be stopping in spain for a couple of days so he'll actually get to visit a port. yeah! i told him not to forget my shot glass! that's very important stuff, huh? i can't wait till he gets back so i can talk to him on the phone! i'm going to norfolk this fall to see him....can't wait!
hey mary....saw that they re-upped quite a few of the glow-worms on the enterprise....they took their pic with million dollar check (the bonuses that would be distributed between them all).... it pays to glow! woo hoo!
