howdy ladies!

so the pic you sent aj made me laugh!  i was like "oh....yeah....the penis plant!"  i think whoever blocked it was a little envious, don't you?  lol!  sorry about your son and his classes.   he'll be ok.....live and learn right?  next time, he can take one class and see how it goes, and so on and so on.  That cranking thing sounds hard!  i wonder if and when dyl's will have to deal with that.....ewwwww!

do...congrats on finding the info!  i guess you get shot-gun in the car!  lol!  i'm jealous!

donna, can you post your daughter's pic here?  that's cool you got to see her on the reagan!

mary, i heard that threading thing is painful.  i had my eyebrows waxed a while back and it hurt!!  my eyes were red for hours!  i'm sure everyone i saw thought i was angry and getting ready to blow a gasket!  lol!   so maybe you can give us some tips on how to rub on a nakey so we can all make money when we go to CR.  hee hee!

hurley, dyl's had to fly out to bahrain and then he had to wait for a flight to take him to the ship.  he sent me a text on sunday that they were heading out then and i haven't heard a peep from him since  :(    he said he wasn't allowed to do anything but go back and forth between the hotel and the base while he was waiting.  he said something about the crew got in trouble or something and their liberty was taken away so he wasn't allowed to do any sight seeing....sucks, huh?!

Nicole.. glad to hear things are going well with you and bf!  congrats on making it through your soph year!   yeah!!

ok....for those people who love animals, you HAVE to go onto you tube and pull up "ultimate dog tease".  if you haven't seen it, it's hilarious.... i was laughing my head off!   i'll see if i can post the link....

gotta run for now.... so rsl and ebb and all that other good stuff!

AJ I hate that stomach pit.  There's no question about it, that was nature. I wasn't giggling either Mary.  Don't you hate it when you try to do something nice and it flys back in your face.  We're here for you AJ.  In my opinion you were robbed.  It stinks about the college classes, but when he aces them, anyone looking at his record will know there were extenuating circumstances.  I'll bet you could really use one of Mary's massages right now!

Hurley I think you can watch "Carrier" online on PBS.  The equator party looked like a lot of fun with hosing down and little pools, water everywhere, faces and T shirts decorated.  I'm sure it was a welcome distraction.

There sure has been a crack down on commanding officers and how they entertain their troops on board lately.  That could explain why they denied that picture.

OMG - I lost everything I wrote and now I don't have time to redo it.

Nutshell - Thanks for all the hugs and kind thoughts about Haley heading back. I'm looking forward to September and doing pretty well. The Trashion Show is just how my weird family rolls.

AJ - cranking sounds like it sucks. I'll visit you in jail but I doubt they will extradite you from Costa Rica for a plant that looks like a penis.

Mary - Upper lip hair removal sucks. Especially the snot trough.

Hurley - I agree with you about treating your customers and employee's well only benefit your business. The economy has allowed a lot of companies to mistreat everyone due to job shortages. Hope it comes back to bite them in the ass.

Nicole - steel toed boots!

Gotta get. That really stinks. I have to remember to post before I look back at someone's post. Maybe I should just open up another tab.

Anyhow, hugs to you all. I will chat with you more later. Gotta go work out. 8 lbs down so far. I'm so happy!!!  Getting my nails filled today too.

Hugs to you all.

OMG, I just saw an up close and personal picture of my daughter on the Reagan Website they just posted. What a way to start my day. I also got an e-mail from my daughter this morning. Day couldn't get any better.

AJ, I am with Mary. I have a dirty mind and I really don't see anything. They  remind me of the plants people used to bring in to the patients. Really don't see why they would block that picture. It's obviously a beautiful picture of plants.

Mary- Sorry about Dereck having to drop his classes. I know how he feels about having that on his transcript.

Nicole- It was great to hear from you again. Only one more year. Congrats on the great boyfriend. Sounds like things are going very well.

Hope all hear from their sailors today.

And I received my first e-mail that made me really sad.  I told you yesterday that he had a 90 day rotation cranking.  Today he said that when he leaves that job he falls straight into bed exhausted and that he has virtually no time for anything else.  Yesterday I had a twinge of wanting to be a fly on the wall to see him doing this service .... today I just feel so bad for him.  With the schedule he is on, he had no time to give at all to the college classes that he signed up for .... he had to drop out of them and take 'F's.  He is so disappointed and stressed about that being on his official transcript .... and there is nothing I can do ........ maybe I should have thought through more carefully encouraging him to sign up for college classes while out on his first deployment.  I thought it was a great use of any down time while out at sea.  But when you don't have any down time, what to do.  He had signed up for 3 classes.  I feel so badly for him .... and now on top of that, I've sent the questionable photo.  You know that place in the pit of your stomach where you feel these kind of things .... it is in high gear right now.  Going to go outside and pray for him.  BTW, he says that it is 'cuss word' gross doing some of the crank jobs.  :(

It's been nice knowing you ladies ...... will any of you come and visit me in Naval prison, wherever that is .... I know it's the brig on a ship ... but not sure out here .... probably a federal prison.  I just tried to send A a picture of a balsa pod from CR and it was 'denied due to policy' ..... holy crap, I think their scanners thought it was pornographic ...... it's too stressful to feel very funny as I don't want to cause him any discomfort, harm, or need to explain ....... and there is a part of me laughing at the craziness of it all.  Here's the pic:

Nature or porno?  You decide .......

Nothing has changed as far as passports, as Mrs.B said I got mine in a week, unexpidited during business season. It's really just their security net, I got mine in November. Well, I broke my toe today putting together a massive bed, and it hurts like hell!! My boyfriend and I have been spending alot of time with his family and i'm starting to feel extremely accepted into his family. Friday the 20th will be our 3 month and when he graduates it will be about 5.5 months together. Ships out June 6th. As sad as I am I am soooooooo excited for those letters:) He's getting a puppy we picked out together and he's really considering getting me one too, because I fell in love with it's sister, but he thinks I don't know. (hahah, can't pull the wool over my eyes!!!) Sophomore year is officially over as of the 25th at 10:40 AM, then 1 year left exactly!!

I have tried tons to catch up and i'll give it my best to keep posting and keep posted.

Iris it sounds like everything with the Haley surprise went wonderful!

Alrighty, homework:( EW! Gotta run! I'll try to post again later!!

RSL!

Well when I was a flight attendant for Spirit we were like a family. Everyone knew everyone. We were very customer oriented . Then a new owner came and it got bad. We could not even comp a drink let alone a cup of coffee without getting written up by someone. They want their buck and the new CEO doesn't care if you hate the way he wants you treated, he always would say, who cares they'll come back. Ugh, made a lot of us sick. The crew will always be great just the company sucks. Anyway, sorry, just can't stand when your forced to give up customer service.

Oh, so funny d o that you mentioned going past the equator. I just read tonight on the CG page they do some kind of homage to Davy Johns Locker, ?. I didn't understand what they ment but do they all have a party when they do this? One guy said it's a party you won't forget...
Comment by d o on May 16, 2011 at 6:26pm

Oops, forgot to give credit.  I bookmarked this page when I took up your challenge AJ.  Wiktionary, Appendix: Glossary of military slang.  I think it's something we will all need as this adventure continues.  I think all our sailor's are going to find out what cranking is at one time or another.  Do you remember on "Carrier" how they had that funny party when they finally went below the equator?  There's going to be plenty of "Navy" things we'll be acquainted with before it's over.

That was dry AJ, very dry about Spirit's add on fees.  It wouldn't be so funny if it wasn't true.

I'm so glad I'm a winner:0  Some days you just need it more than others. ( I'm going rounds with my foster son right now. )
