I think our next thing is going to be designing our own smart cars. I still have to pull together the details.

Anyhow, I take Haley back today. Booo....  I'm going to save commenting on your posts till then cause I need some distraction. 162.2 was my weigh in today. Yay! Haley, Cody and I had sushi for dinner last night. Yummy. Cody tried Flying Fish Roe - funny texture and had a Philly Roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber). Haley and I split a Cucumber roll, Spicy Tuna roll, and 2 pc Tuna Sashimi. So, so, so good. Haley's good friend Marina came over for a visit. She's an amazing young lady. She has Lupus and has to deal with some of the more rarer symptoms. One is she can't let sun hit her skin - it causes an instant rash and pain. So she has to stay covered all the time. I suppose it's good she lives in such a cloudy, rainy place. She has plans to move further North to Seattle, which is even more cloudy. There are other symptoms - but I can't remember them. She's just 18. Crazy sad. Anyhow, she doesn't let it get her down.

Well I better help Haley pull stuff together. We are going to hit World Market for some tea on our way up, so she can take it back with her. It's really be a fabulous few days.

Chat with you all soon. Hugs and Happy Monday.

Look at you Iris, you even look good as white trash!!!  Love your creativity, and the pictures!  Haley genuinely looks happy holding that gun.  I want to go to one of those events too. You all must be having the time of your lives being together again:)!  I shot an Eagle (the gun, not the bird) once.  Talk about kick!

I agree with Dyl about your comments to Corie.  That was so well spoken.  We should all keep a copy of that in our purses to give to the girls that are just trying out their wings.  I'm sure there is some magazine that would give you money for that one!

Hurley WOW!  God is Goood!  So happy for you and your boys!

AJ, what if you have a passport and no money?!  My heart is broken for you to hear that the carrier is still on River City.  Shouldn't there be a time limit on that?  How did you get through Mother's Day?  Did you hear something from the Omsbudman to help you connect in any way?   I liked the Angel music and art.  That's a good thought for all our sailor's, but especially A right now.

Lyn it's good to hear from you.  What part of Florida are you buying a home?  Is it a vacation or retirement home?  It sounds exciting!

Mary, I would prefer a YA YA Sister's type dance, as apposed  to the other.  I know you were just kidding, but I don't want to offend God, He's been so good to all of us.

I think your couch gag is a good one.  Just keep the old one in the basement or something so he can put it in that house he is planning on buying.  My boys thought I was going to keep the place like a shrine to them.  NOT!

Shelly, I gotta agree with Mary.  You're amazing to be able to kick that habit.  My friend just finished a class and learned that nicotine is more addictive than heroin.  If you can do that you can do anything!

Corie keep us posted on how you are being good to yourself in this transition.

RSL to everyone!

greetings all!   hope everyone is doing ok... i see iris is having the time of her life!  love the trash dress!  pretty inventive.  i think you're going to win!  post more pics of the others so we can see!  so glad you're enjoying your time!

Hi Lyn!  glad to see you're back.... yes, it's that time of year that gets crazy busy!  my first 2 boys were only a year apart so for 2 years it was all about grad parties etc.  i don't know what to do with myself this year!   good luck on the house thing.  it can be stressful but i think it will work out just fine.

i really do need to get a passport...the enterprise has a thing called the tiger cruise where family members get to travel on board.  i would love to do something like that but don't really have any details or a passport.  guess i'll have to wait until the next deployment.  :(

i got to chat with dyls yesterday on fb....he's still waiting to get sent to his ship...he's thinking maybe today.  don't know when i'll hear anything......sucks!

Speaking of sucks.... so sorry Corie about your situation.  men can be sucks jerks!  i love the advice you received from iris..... you should really do it!

hurley, so cool that the boys are going to be close!  how nice!  i bet they're both pretty stoked about it to!

mary, gotta watch out for those kids that want to exercize you to death!  dyl's was always telling me to join his gym and work out.  i should have gone up there and built up bigger arms than him!  that would have shut him up, huh?  but i was too busy holding down my couch and hey, someone has to eat the snacks, right?!  ha!   no, really, i've gained 9 pounds since i quit smoking so i think i can live with that.  if i could just lose 5 of it, i would be happy.  could be worse.....my mom (who still smokes...grrrr) and is small framed, short etc has let herself get down to 70 lbs....unreal!  we made her go to the dr and now she is on happy pills to help stimulate her appetite.  that's probably the road i would be traveling so i'm not so sad to be on the other side.

ok...enough rambling for now.....gotta go accomplish something today.  oh and the OKC Thunder plays today.  hoping they'll win to earn a spot in the next round.   weeeee!

RSL....EBB.... and all that good stuff!  :)

Such treasures I find here this morning.  Wow, what a great group of ladies.

Hurley .... both of your boys close together AND close to you too .... what a mother's delight.  You and Marc's wife must be simply joyous today.  So glad it worked out this perfectly for you all.

Lyn B ... wonderful to read your catch up ... whew, what a whirlwind trip just with family, but add a possible house purchase and you shoot straight over the top to crazy.  I know you have to make the most of these trips back ... guess this means you are moving back soon???  Easier for you with your kids and all the families.  Very happy for you.

Iris (oops, Cold Blooded, it will take me a while to incorporate) .... these pictures are outright hysterical of you and your dress, and your sister's dress.  You guys are simply cre-a-tive and fun.  What a wonderful event to share with each other .... and the name, 'Trashion'!  Ha!  God, I could use some fun like that.

Fun photos too of Haley and Cody .... wow, those are big guns ... had no idea that they held events like this.  Yes, Mary, probably best that you don't share these with your daughter.

And yes, Mary, lots of places for massage down here.  We could put you right to work!  I am trying to lay some groundwork for a possible PIR ladies get together.  I know it would be phenomenally miraculous to pull off, but if you don't dream, you can't make it come true.  We can continue to conversation.

Hi Shelly, d o, Mrs. B, Donna and anyone else still peeking in.

Enjoy your Sunday one and all.

Morning!!!

Hurley - OMG, that is fantastic! I'm so happy for you and your boys. Yay, yay, yay!!!

So today is the posting of a little family contest we have going on. It's called a Trash-ion competition. My sister Rose sent out to each contestant a two piece's of obnoxious jewelry and a trash item to include in your fashion creation. Today we post our pictures on Facebook as our profile pictures. Here is mine (I had tinfoil)

If you go to my facebook page you can see the rest of my attempts at posing. Lol... it's a hoot. I will probably NOT get a modeling contract.Haley hasn't done her's yet, so that is our mission today. But first we are hitting the gym.

My family all had a blast at the Machine gun shoot. Hurley - this actually was a special event. Cody shot the 20 mm, Haley loved the 50 cal, and I enjoyed the SAW. Everyone shot a bunch of different weapons. Very fun day.

Anyhow, just wanted to say howdy and share.

Lyn - So good to hear from you. =)))  Glad you are having fun and yes, it can be exhausting. Lol...  Can't wait to hear all the details. Good luck with the house.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Guys! Please excuse my lack of communication! Hope everyone is doing well since it's past my bedtime and I can't catch up on everyone's news just now.

I'm whooping it up in FL til Tuesday with my family.  Got the daughter graduated and partied with her aunties (my sisters) and my folks and some of our Florida friends this week. Also, got A out from CA - he wore his dress whites just for me and we even had some photos made which I'll post for your amusement later.

It's been full on, and frankly just a little exhausting!  I head to Houston on Tuesday and then we start another 5 days of family time for my husbands daughter's high school graduation.  The 'family' show will be on the other foot since it'll all be his family now and should be interesting.  He'll get to be the one stressed about getting everyone organized!

So mostly incommunicado because we're swamped (we also are in the process of buying a house we saw within 48 hours of landing in the US - arggghhh the paperwork now!  Last house purchase was 10 yrs ago and man is there about 12 times the ppw!)

I wanted to pop on because I read this article just now and thought y'all might be interested:

Haha Mary that's funny. My hubby is nubby too. Haha the auto fix wrote nubby! I ment jubby

Ok well Marc got his orders!!! In everywhere in the world he could be stationed he got stationed only 20 minutes from Matt! Marc will be escorting subs from Matts station. I don't know if I mentioned this but Marc and Matt are the closest of the brothers. I am so happy! That means Marc, like Matt is in driving distance to home! . My DIL is happy too cause she now will have family close and she gets along well with Matts GF. Marc has to go to Matts commissary to shop. Just so strange how it worked out! I prayed and prayed. Anyway, just thought old tell you all...

I have my passport and of course, Paul is from the UK, so he has that passport.  But when I got mine, it literally came in a week. We applied for the passport on a Monday and the next Monday, they were in our hands, all ready to go. I think it depends on where you go to apply for the passport and how busy a season it is for the passport "business."  But they normally say it will take about 6 weeks to get to you, and if you want it in two weeks, they will expedite it for $90. At least that is what it was 5 years ago, when I got mine.  Not sure if things have changed.

Wow AJ, you know I never thought about for emergency reasons. Funny thing cause my two who are in the military are my two who don't have passports! I'm gunn a get on both Matt and Marc to get them now. I just figured the navy would give it to them automatically. Crazy they don't. But you are so right about if they need to fly as a civilian out of the country for emergencies. Thanks for the info on the Internet on ships. It looks like the recruits who got their orders already are mostly deployed on ships. I have a feeling Marc will follow suit. Still no word as of yet. They are up to the "M"s and we are "S". Maybe later tonight. The suspence is killing me. At least Matt had a dream sheet and he knew it would be one of the five he chose. It looks like the CG gives them a dream sheet but most were just sent where the CG wanted soooooo..... Expect the unexpected like the military always says. Oh Iris, Marc has 2 weeks 6 days left. He graduates June 3 rd. He starts week 6 tomorrow. Mary the CG is 8 weeks like the Navy. But wasn't the Navy BC more like 9 weeks because they didn't count prossecing? Don't remember, like child birth. Damn, kept forgetting just how bad it was and then BOOM! Preggies again! Ok, back to Iris... Yay! So happy you all are enjoying your daughter! Now for sme shopping therapy with Haley! Wow, a machine gun range? I don't think we have that. We have a rifle range and we use to shoot skeet but they took that away years ago. Heck I use to shoot my my little 22 in my back yard but things have changed and neighbors move in... Went shooting with Marc last year and he said I did pretty good for not going in many years. Me and my 22 have a history together. One day I will tell you all... Oh and Corie, of course you can air out your feelings here. Why do you think we still stay on here? Support, and the best kind. Don't know what I would do without you all!

RSL and EBB!
