Cause I want to write about Cody and Haley and surprises!

You guys are filling me with warm fuzzies and laughter .... thank you.

Cold-Blooded - there is something incongruent going on here.  We have just made a major jump from RSL to EBB!  That is some major transition .... I wonder if it is the planets.  Ha Ha ... or as they write in down here ... Je, Je! Gotta love it.  I love how these alternate personalities are popping out all over the place.  Congrats though girl on your weight loss.  I know how important that has been for you ... and I know that when you set your mind to something .... that it is only a matter of time.  I remember watching some of those old Roller Derby matches on tv when I was a kid .... wow .... you've got yourself some machismo.  I say go for it ... just be the one giving the elbow, not receiving it!

But who knows what else might happen now that d o is performing Wiccan rites under the stars, naked on her motorcycle.  Congrats d o on your new Petty Officer .... and certificates and advancements and all the movin' and shakin' goin on!

And Mary, oh Mary .... your Navy Goose is hysterical.  I can soooo see this in your house.  And BTW, the love that picture of you on your FB page.  There is something truly elegant, feminine, and mysterious in it.

Shelly .... another round of hugs for you today.  Stay tuned here, all kinds of free entertainment and distraction.  You know we love you .... and you know how much we understand.

Hurley .... Congrats to you and Matt too.  That is great work on his part.  And poor Marc ... it must be hard to know that he had been welling up with tears at night and as he wrote his quick and poignant letters.  God bless him for the remainder of these days in boot camp.  Can't wait to hear his news of where he was stationed.  I can well imagine the feeling of wanting to receive the call from him yourself ... and admire the grace you possess to understand that it is his wife now who gets that call .... and what a blessing that you love her so!

I love your idea of the cook off / stove thing for Dereck's girlfriend of the future.  What could be more perfect?!  I really think we need to organize this event.

Okay, I was really, really bad yesterday.  I made homemade hot fudge and shredded up some of that coconut and made ice cream sundaes last night.  OMG was it good.  But, this came 'after' we had some creamy parmesan basil gnocci .... I was experimenting in the kitchen and it was all sinful, fabulous, and I think I gained 20 pounds last night.  I'd offer some up for you guys, but you are all trying to loose weight, as I should be.  Remember that kids fun song this 'no more monkeys jumping on the bed' .... 'no more binges for this fatty head' ... okay lame, but it had to rhyme with bed in my head.

Speaking of monkeys, the howler monkeys are returning.  You can hear them in the morning and late afternoon.  They make the loudest sound and are really not all that big.

I have to go help with something, so will return later.

EBB all the way baby!

!!! Iris !!! So exciting! This is going to be such a great present to Cody! And of course you and Gene! Just so exciting! Watch yourself with your derby ladies, don't want to be elbowed in the teeth.... Have a great time with her!

Ha, Mary, why is it the duck reminds me of Derrick? Tall, lanky, cute! Oh and I'm sure it's a Smart Ass!

Congratulations d o! I am happy all went so well! Guess the planets being aligned is a good thing for you. I love the EBB for iris!

It's 0430 and I'm hitting the showers. Then it's Haley time. Guess what? Cody is completely clueless - he's trying to make plans with friends for the time she's here, so I think we actually fooled him. Yay!!! Gene is excited to see Haley too. This weekend is gonna ROCK! Happy Day to you all. I'll get caught up once I come down from cloud 9. =)

Wow look at all these posts!  I'm coco for coconuts!, but that milk inside taste nasty.  I never knew you could use it as a transfusion.

I did notice that the planets were dancing, and I doing my best to keep up with the rhythm.  (with my clothes on).  However I didn't see them on my morning ride.  I was to busy watching for drivers that weren't watching for me!

Iris, I can't believe you're gonna be in roller derby.  That's hysterical!  I used to watch that when I was a kid.  They were really rough-like broken teeth and bones rough.  I'd miss your pretty smile. Yet I'm strangely curious to read your posts as you progress.

Dyl's mom, count me in on the group hug.  I know we're all going to need it sooner or later.  OOOOOOOOOOxx  I'm sorry it hurts right now, and I'm praying for you.  When the boys were little we would pat each other and say, "there, there" then burst into laughter, because none of us could ever figure out what that actually meant.  Somehow it did help us feel better.  Maybe because we laughed.  Let me know if you need a joke.  I know plenty.

I did laugh out loud at Mary when you told us where coconuts came from.  Yeah for your boys passing!  I like your newest sailor.  Where did you find something like that?

Hurley- I caught that about your son calling his wife.  That's got to be tough. He's got your DNA and hung out in your womb, but you've got to stand by and get news second hand. I know that's right and good, but it doesn't make it any easier.  I'm glad to hear you really like her.

Here's my really good news:  I am now the proud mother of another Petty Officer!  He also got 100 on his last test.  My oldest completed his GED, and my husband got his proficiency certificate.  Of course I knew he was proficient all along, but now he has the certificate to prove it. He's bonafied!  Shouldn't we all get one of those?

RSL or should we change it to something like: EBB (elbows, blockades, and broken teeth)  in honor of Iris's latest adventure?!

Well Matt passed his board and can now patrol on his own., yeah! One less hurdle. So funny Mary about your son and the phone call, guess he earned his name at BC and wore it with honor! He's a good kid and cute too! I see a future of beautiful young ladies throwing there stoves at him. Hmm, second thought, I see a cook off for his hand!

So no letter from Marc today. sigh... His wife got a short one just saying he only had 2 minutes to write it and he loves her and he is more than halfway done and it's all downhill now, so I guess that's good news. The other letters he said he cried every night and while writing too. Today he got his orders. So his wife is waiting by the phone. Seems like I should be the one but oh well, she is his life now. I love her to death, she is like my own.

I know Iris, I don't understand why they get tested at the worst time. Seems like it sets them up for failure. Matt was exhausted but he did well, missed one but answered it correctly after asked over again. At least Haley is smart about not stressing over it. She will get it next time. RSL back at you!

Morning Ladies - =)))

Okay really fast cause I have tons to do today. Haley come Friday morning and my sister will be here on Saturday and well, I like to have the house extra clean for company. Anyhoooooo....

AJ - COCONUTS! Yay. I know nothing about them. I live in soggy Oregon where coconut tree's dye due to too much moisture. You definitely need to introduce me to the wonders of the coconut. In the mean time keep those fun facts coming. So jealous you got to see the planets. I bet it was so amazing. Ya know, I need to just take my app. in to the post office and get that passport. I think we might be trouble together, but I'm willing to risk it. Oh and if they send you to Gilligan's Island - I get to be Gilligan. I even have the hat. Lol.... =)))

Mary - Nuke school sounds terrible. And I'm so sorry he won't be home for the 4th. Love your foul mouth story. My sister Rose keeps telling me to clean it up too. Ha ha ha... I think we are just comfortable with who we are so letting a little trash out doesn't bother us. Oh and you know Haley was hoping she'd get Guam or Japan. Funny how they are all different.

Hurley - Hi! 2 letters? That's it? I hope at least they were informative. I saw the picture you posted. That's really cool. Keep us posted to where he gets stationed. Haley just had to do a graveyard rotation and then had an important test to take right after she finished her shift. She bombed it. Fortunately she has 2 more tries. It was funny cause she was like, "lesson learned, I'm not superman". She is more like me than I ever realized. I suppose distance makes you notice more things. Anyhow, I hope your son gives you a call soon or a great letter. RSL and Hugs.

Dyl's Mom - How you holding up? There are a ton of cliques I can say, but how about just a big Navy4Mom group hug instead. Hope brighter days are ahead for you. Now about the weight gain - sounds like you were happy and just enjoyed yourself. Shameful!!! Lol... I'm so happy you had a good time with him. Hold on to that feelign. Now as far as my obsession with weight and dieting, it stems from several circumstances. I come from a generally large family (average 250 -350 lbs). I have always been thin and my biggest fear was to be fat. I saw how uncomfortable, sad, and unhealthy my relatives were and decided at a very young age that I didn't want that for myself. I also heard them say, it's easy to put on but a real bitch to take off. So I've tried to keep it off. Figured that's easier. Also, here's the blame the Dad part, my father created an environment while growing up that left little room for us girls to have a feeling of control over our lives (he ruled the roost with fear). He had some weird, and still does, idea's about everything. Two out of the three of us are obsessive about our weight, the third has a eating disorder (emotional eater). So we just deal with what life has thrown at us just like everyone else. I know that I obsess on my weight, but also know that if I get down to what I'm comfortable with then it's not such a focus. Okay - wow.. probably TMI. Lol... Anyhow, my diet is going sooo...well. I got on the scale today and I'm 4 lbs down. Yahoo! I know it's the initial drop that happens with major changes and I won't sustain that rate, but hot diggidy dog! Gives me hope. You know my wish for everyone is to be happy. I don't care if your heavy or not, just find that place that makes you happy. Me being thin makes me happy. Okay enough! Are you sorry you opened that box unintentionally yet. Ha ha ha h.....

Okay - you are all gonna love this. My husband suggested I join a club, group, class or something. So he mentioned a Roller Derby sign he saw advertising for new members. I contacted them and I'm going to a new skater day on the 24th. I'm sooo... excited. I'm also very worried. I haven't been on skates since I was a teenager. Now with my feet being numb, I'm thinking, this ought to be good. I'm hoping I can overcome that and improve over time, at least enough to maybe participate. I've come up with my derby name, "Cold Blooded". =) It's bad ass and it describes my physical state most of the time. Plus I can wear a blue ribbon to support Colon Cancer awareness. It would work with the name, huh!? Now I have to find gear (EXPENSIVE) and get proper attire. Oh the team is called "Sick Town Derby Dames". I'm just really dorking out over this. I'll keep you posted to my progress and of course post pics if I get any.

Well my really quick got away from me. Gotta go. Hugs to you all and I'll be back on probably after Haley goes on Monday.

RSL!

Oh it breaks my heart Shelly... I would think BC is better cause then you get a phone call. I am dreading this day. Matt has to go overseas 2 of his 4 year contract. Ugh, just don't want to think that far, you will be an old hand at it.

Marcs doing ok, I guess. I only received two letters. The last one he said he hadn't read my letters for the last week. Sigh...oh well. I still write, he's very busy and he has a wife to write to also. He gets his orders today. Wonder where he'll be stationed. He will call his wife with all the info. You can see his company run if you go to Blue Fish Inn on the search bar on FB. You don't need to be a friend, then go to their Wall on the left under the picture. I think he will be the first goup . He's in Zulu 184. It's pretty cool to watch.

So Matts on the graveyard shift now. He takes his board test today (probably already) sucks to be up all night and then you need to take your board after your shift. Only his second night so his body isn't use to it all. But that's just how I feel. He sucks it up and gets on with it. Thank god he's not like his Mom! If he passes he will be able to go on his own in a squad car and patrol.

Hey Mary, your Derrick is so smart he'll pass with flying colors! Sucks the way they plan tests and stuff, around the holidays or right when you get back from vacation... I would love to be a fly on your wall when you two talk! Hehe

Thanks for allowing me a pity party!  still trying to get a grip....dyl's called me at noon to say he was in italy and was heading to his last destination.  so of course i'm wanting to wail because i'm thinking...ok, this is the last call until ??????.  ugh!  i feel like he went to bc again!   i know it will get better....i just want it to be better right NOW!  lol!

aj....interesting stuff about the coconut.  makes me hungry for a mounds!  now, i will say that if i catch you trying to use one as a telephone, we will have to banish you to gilligans island!  ha!

Hurley- loved the pic!  he looks great!  he's doing good then?

MJrs B - Glad things are really starting to work out for you.  I'm really sorry to hear about your Dad.  i keep him in my prayers.  Hep C can be very hard to deal with.

Mary and Iris -  i don't think either one of you need to diet!  i see your pics from time to time.... i mean, really?   i gained a good 7 lbs while dyl's was here.  i can't be for sure since i refuse to get on the scale.  i'm afraid of what it will say....to be honest, i think the scale is afraid of ME!  ugh!   all that zumba for nothing!   i will say hubby and kids bought me a Wii for mom's day and the zumba game.  i'll have to start doing that again if i can gain access to my tv!

ok....gotta run!  missing my American Idol.    I'll talk to you all soon!

RSL!!!!

Iris the picture of your babies is just so sweet! Very cute, just wanna pinch those cheeks! Ok, I'm gettin old.

Ha, AJ, so funny about you and your relationship with the coconut! The past two winters have been chilly here and I have only three left in my yard. My prized yellow (husk is yellow) froze last year. Boy I got so much water from that tree. I taught many kids who never saw a real one how to husk them and then open them. It's a pleasing sound to hear the pressure sound when the nut is punctured. The water is sterile. So many people (not from here where coconuts grow) would question me when I would drink it fresh... But I would not compete with you on the opening contest, I am not a fast opener, you will win!
