Hey Ladies! Well, good news, Paul has a job (it's part time right now, but the manager REALLY likes him and told him already that he would try to get him more hours asap.) And we have a nice 2 bedroom apartment to live in and we're moving next week. We thought we were going to move this weekend, but our paper work got messed up. Anyways...
HAPPY EASTER!
I hope everyone hears from their Sailors today. Even though Paul isn't in the Navy, we found out that his veteran "rights" are all intact and that "once a Sailor, always a Sailor" so I guess that means I am a Navy Veterans Wife! I like my title! LOL...
Blessings to you all! ~
Dyl's Mom - Yay!!! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. =) Lol on the "eggs in one basket". Give that sailor of yours an extra hug from me.
Just wanted to say "Happy Easter" to everyone. I hope today is a really beautiful, fun, wonderful, full of smiles day for you all.
Hey All! Dyl's is home! woo hoo! so nice to see him in person! i sure have missed his face around here! just increased the testosterone by 100 percent around here but that's ok......at least for now. just happy to "have all my eggs in one basket" as Mary would say..... and isn't it funny that all my eggs are in one basket for the easter holiday! ha! a little humor there.....
anyhow.... sorry about the sniffles Mary! Glad D got his easter package.....i'm like Iris...not surprised he tore into it. So when does D get to come home for a visit?
Iris...sorry you were feeling so puny but it sounds like you were doing awesome at the gym! geeee.....major turn-around, huh?
Donna, glad your daughter found someone she knows on the ship. i'm sure that was pretty comforting to her. It's always nice to see a familar face when your in new surroundings. keep us posted on how she's doing!
Nicole, congrats on the 2 months and the grades! oh to be young again!
gotta run for now..... if i don't get a chance to get back on before sunday, i hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter!
Happy Easter weekend to everyone. Stay safe.
Proud - That is freakin' hilarious. Thank you for sharing. Still laughing.... =)
Keeping it shockingly short. Have a great weekend one and all.
Good Morning Ladies -
Nicole - Yay for you. Sounds like everything is coming up Rose's baby! =) RSL! Hang in there with the language barrier. You might even learn a little chinese in the process. =)
Mary - LOL... I didn't imagine D. waiting on opening his package. Glad it got to him and he's enjoying it. Glad you are done with class. Seems like education has really changed. Teach to the lowest common denominator. I learn pretty quickly too so I can relate to your boredom. Hope you are feeling better. Sinus infections suck big time.
Proud - So glad your daughter made it to her ship. Lol... about the huge part. I am also very impressed with how adaptable these kids seem to be. They just shrug and take it all in stride. I guess you kind of have to. =) Keep up posted about all her adventures at sea. I hear the first time out is rough.
Dyl's Mom - Did you get your dirty laundry yet? Lol... sorry, laughing with you, not at you. Boys eh? Hope he's feeling less nervous about the new job. You know he'll do great. Very nice of his old boss to take him to lunch. Makes you feel good when someone appreciates your kiddo. =)
Okay, so Tuesday I got my port out. All went really well except that I have trouble with coming out of the anesthetic. It totally kicks my but and they even gave me a light dose this time. I fasted from 0330 Tuesday morning till after surgery, which was delayed an hour. At 1500 they took me in, gave me the loopy juice and took out my port while I was awake. Went very smooth, no problems and now I'm port free. Yay!!! Afterwards they gave me some cranberry juice which I slammed and a muffin that I started nibbling on. Well I got sick. Ack! Went home and crashed until 2100, got up and got some water and 1/2 a piece of toast, took some pain meds and an old chemo leftover anti nausea med and back to bed I went. At 0300 I got up starving so ate a little of the Caesar salad my hubby bought me and had a coffee, but that didn't stay down either. Back to bed. Got up at 0700 and felt better so I had a cup of coffee and then a cup of peppermint tea and headed to the gym. Yes, I worked out. I did about 50 minutes on the treadmill and got it to 12% incline. I think it helped work out the rest of the loopy juice. Saw the personal trainer there and he showed me a few things I could do for my balance. Very cool. Within 5 minutes he had me balancing on this flat topped ball and doing dips. I was impressed. Anyhow, I'm alive and well and ready to move some fat. Today's agenda is to work on my 2 week menu, work on my funky dress for the mother/daughter challenge my sister Rose threw out (I'll post pics when it's done), and I don't know, do something else I'm sure... Lol... Oh I got my nails back on. Love them!!! Other than that, nothing is going on. Kind of nice.
Well I hope everyone has a great Good Friday and Easter. No big plans for us, what about any of you? Doing anything for Easter?
RSL to you all. Hugs!
