Iris .... have you ever considered entering your photographs into a contest?  Or publish your own book of photos?  These flower photos are breathtaking.  Your compositions are really artistic and expressive .... and well, I just think more people would enjoy seeing them.  Set up a photo kiosk at a summer fair ..... anything!  Wow, love them.  I just had a nice mommy sigh thinking about your getting to girl chat with Haley this morning ... for 30 whole minutes.  Glorious!  Speaking of the DAR, do you know a woman named Donna Santistevan Elin?  She is pretty up there in the organization.  Let me know if you do.

Hurley .... yes, come back and recap!  And like Iris said, don't write too long without posting .... or I even started writing in email when I know I have a lot to say and cutting it and pasting it so I didn't lose stuff.  That is so frustrating!  How I laughed at your Wal Nuts action story.  Sounds perfect to me.

So, guys, I had an email from A this morning.  First, yesterday I saw my chiropractor down here and he asked me how A was doing .... I shared some of the health challenges and he said that he highly doubted that A had asthma given his health history prior to the Navy ..... and that if it is truly asthma, that a person has trouble breathing OUT, not IN and for me to find out which he was having trouble with.  If it is not out, then he needs to stop the inhaler, which causes damage and addiction.  So, I sent all of that off to him last night and I heard back from his this morning.  He was supposed to be with medical again today to talk about the steroid inhaler or an adrenaline inhaler and what was going to work best.  Ugh.  I sure hope he talks to them about some of the other possibilities I've sent him .... from your guys' suggestion about mold allergies, to cutting out all white foods (which he did not grow up eating a steady diet of) ... ya know, white bread, white rice, white potatoes, white sugar, etc ..... to this whole thing about breathing in and out.

The best news from him though was ........ go to FB .........

Lol.. Mary - I totally agree. Pretty panties and handsome manties make all the difference in the world. =) Oh and yes, And I believe sometimes the older generation just doesn't want to admit to their youthful adventures. How could they scold you if you knew that they weren't exactly saints either. Lol.... silly!

IM'd with Haley this morning - spontaneously. She was still at work but nothing was going on so she was able to chat for about a 1/2 hour. She's doing well. She has her new plan in her head and is working hard to make it happen. Fred is going on a "get healthy" kick and that makes Haley happy. I think I mentioned I was worried about the extent of Fred's partying (or maybe not), well I guess Fred has noticed it too and wants to get that back under control. I'm not against having fun, sheesh, there young and full of energy and life, but sometimes it can move from fun to something else and then it just is kind of sad. Anyhow, she is also hoping to get a car or at least start looking at them this next 3 days off she has coming up. It was a good chat. I think that is what I miss most is that she and I talked a lot when she was home. Now I have men to talk to. Oh lordy! Grunt, yeah, Huh, are the responses I get there or they try to fix it. No, no, no.... I just need to talk it out. Ahhh... the age old Venus & Mars syndrome. Anyhooo....  I had my first Derby meeting last night. I'm heading up the Sick Town Mom's Child Care Co-op. Some girls can't come to practice consistently due to child care issues. So we are trying to find a free/cheap space that would allow us to rotate mom's to watch all the kids for each practice. That was they miss fewer practice's and can count on reliable, affordable child care. But right now, I have to go get ready for my DAR (white hair club) meeting. I'm the secretary for that. Yay! Those little old ladies are damn good with the guild. Lol.... If I ever get employed though they will have to replace me.

So have a fabulous day and RSL to all.

Hurley - apparently if you write a lot, hit enter about half way through. That way you won't loose it. =) I look forward to your recap.

Morning Ladies -

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. So it's raining here AGAIN! Apparently the summer will not arrive till after the 4th of July. Grumble, grumble..... Great news - I'm able to have my morning coffee again. The stomach has settled down and my taste buds are in heaven again with a fresh cup of a K-cup full of Coconut Island coffee. Mmmmmmmm......  Smile!

Mary - WooooooooHoooooooooo....  I'm so happy for you. There is that peace that comes over you when all your little birds are back in the nest. I miss that feeling, but cherish it every time it comes. Here's to a wonderful few days together (raising a tall glass of something refreshing to you). =) Apparently I'm in a dork mood, so please bear with me.

Nicole - my tall, lanky, leggy friend. How about a pic of this too short dress? I know the styles have changed, and for your grandma, whoa... it has to be shocking.Short skirts were in as I grew up. I do admit that today they wear them a lot shorter than we did, that or they just spill out more. I don't know. =) As a teenager, it was in bad taste to let your bra straps show or underwear. Not so much right now. These are some of the changes that happen generation to generation. Now think back to your Grandma's time when skirts above the knee were improper. And don't even think about showing any cleavage. Yikes!!! You get imprinted with things you were taught when you were young and sometimes it's difficult to let those go even if they no longer apply. Personally I'd rather not see someone ass hanging out. Most butts just aren't that attractive. If I wanted to see that much hiney, I'd work in a hospital. Lol... I'm just trying to give you a little more incite so you understand your Gma's point of view. Have patience if you can and well, you can always do what my sister's and I did. Wear a longer skirt over the shorter one and take the long one off at school. Then you put it back on when you are heading home. Everyone's happy. Remember change what you can, endure what you must, but always be happy.

Mrs. B - In Roller Derby we have pretty good protective gear. Knee pads, helmets, elbow pads,etc... if you find you guys are falling down a lot, I'd say invest in them. Beats the bruising and recovery time. xP... jokingly said from the lady that has the grace of a heard of buffalo in a china shop. Hope you both are recovering and no more hurting yourselves, understand? =) Hugs!

AJ - I have LOTS of derby shots now. I also made it to the Iris Festival and got about 300 pics of that. I'm still working on them but will post a few here that I've finished fussing with. Haley found out that she's kind of stuck and should make the best of it right now. Her out will be the STA-21 program so she's going to really work hard on getting that paperwork in and hopefully be chosen for the program. STA-21 is where they send you to college and then you repay the time away from the Navy back after you have graduated. She wants to go into Nursing. I think it will take a few years for her to get all the requirements done and such, but at least that gives her a goal to shoot for and not a feeling of being trapped in something she doesn't like. And yes, I'm happy she was able to be there for her friend. The death of ones parent is tough and especially when they are so young.

Well, I have a long list today so I better finish up and get on with it. Cody is back at work and happy about that, but still frustrated at the lack of team work there. I recommended he express his concerns to the manager. Maybe he'll do something. Who knows. Hey I got my passport back Friday but my birth certificate wasn't with it? I thought they send that back? Will it come in another envelope? I will be calling today to find out what the deal is, but it has me concerned.

Okay, gotta get. Hugs to you all, stay cool if it's warm, stay warm if it's cool. Have a great day. RSL. I'Riz-istyble (aka - Riz) I'm trying that on for my Derby name.

I keep getting bumped off of here this morning, so will post over on FB.

Donna - did you get your pictures to go through to Amanda?

Mary - DERECK'S COMING HOME!!!!!!  Three wonderful words.

Nicole - I wondering how many hours a day you are writing letters now?  Looking forward to seeing your outfit for PIR.

Mrs. B - I hope the guy you have encountered is able to help you in a manner that brings you some satisfaction, improvement, and support for what you went through.  Did you ever share more of the story?

Iris - I've still got to look at your Derby pictures you've posted.  Not one bit surprised that Haley is such a rock, comfort, and caring supporter for her friends ... just look at her momma!

Okay .... over to FB before I'm kicked off again.
