OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

So happy for all who got the "I'm a Sailor" call, so awesome, Congratulations to everyone!!   Continually praying for those that have BS and will be calling, as well as those who are experiencing other difficulties at this time.  We are a caring and supportive Navy family and are here to lift one another up.  Blessings!!

Congrats on all the calls and to the New Sailors and to us. I know the waiting is excruciating. I had to wait over the weekend to get mine, even though I already knew she was a sailor. O, And the reason she didn't call Friday was because after they had picked up uniforms and went back to the ship, she said everyone else just tossed theirs onto their rack. She was scared they would have inspection while they were gone and did not want to get a compartment hit, so when everyone marched down to make calls, she stayed behind to put away her uniforms. This girl is so literal in everything she does. If you tell her to do something, she will do it, and do it the way she is told every time she does it. If you don't tell her to do something, she would never think to do it on her own (like jot down a little note on the FORM letter, or hide a note in her shoes or pockets of clothing being sent home in THE BOX). I searched for all of those things, and I felt cheated when I didn't get it. But that's my little girl for ya. If you don't throw her the hint or literally tell her to do it, she won't. LOL. I'm just glad she made it through, with the help of God, and all of our prayers. I am truly blessed to be called her mother. And I can not wait to see her in just little over 2 days.

Hi everyone! I haven't had a chance to get on but I wanted to congratulate all of the ones who got calls today and keeping the ones who haven't in my prayers and the ones who still have to go through BS. For all those who are leaving tomorrow I wish you a safe journey! I am beyond excited to see my son and can't wait to meet all you wonderful ladies!

Reading all of the comments, I pray for traveling grace for everyone who will be flying and driving on tomorrow or Thursday. Haven't heard from my son yet, but by all the comments I'm assuming ship 3 div 297 has bs tonight. I'm praying for their success and getting a phone call tomorrow. Missing his call and not seeing him for these 8 weeks is killing me, he's my one and only child so it's definitely been hard letting go. But I am so proud of him and all of our young men and women. God bless them and watch over them as they pursue their various assignment. Can't wait to meet you all at Sarges and PIR.
