I booked into the Navy Lodge - like the idea that it's so close the PIR. I've rsvp'd to Sarge's meet and greet. I'm booking my flights after week 4 (just in case).
Hi Everyone
Trying to focus on reservations plane tix are expensive! Might wait until Wednesday maybe better price. I have been so anxious and not concentrating on this trip. Last time I flew to Midway (cheaper). Didn't like the drive to and from Great Lakes though. So im trying to avoid it. I have stayed at Residence inn at Waukegan and Navy Lodge. Navy Lodge Good but of course Residence is Marriot so its Excellent.. Thinking about Ramada because of Meet and Greet.Any suggestions? Appreciated
Thanks to all for sharing. Hanging in there only 45 more days!
I squeezed a little more time from him as I had to hunt for note pad and pen :) I have to get a legal document and some references for him. We're English, we have our Green Cards but not citizens until next November. The references were people here. He's not doing anything special or secret (well not that he's told me) as most of those kind of jobs are not available to him because he's not a citizen. I didn't ask why - was too bothered about him being fed and sleeping lol! Oh and they aren't taking out his wisdom teeth. They told him no need to.
Mammaross,Thanks for sharing the news! I will have my phones with me at all times and charged!!! Looking foward to that letter this week. What information do they need? If im not home my hubby wont know what to do. You know how it is Mom has all the answers. Don't want him to be delayed or in trouble for this.
@diannep, I will definitvely do that. His recruiter has been there with every step of the way and has kept us well informed. He is a wonderful person and I will make sure his commanding officer knows about it. Yep took me a couple of minutes to recover but I am so thankful for what he did; stopping by and just chatting for a bit. He said many times if he would be able to go to all the graduations of his recruits he would. He is very dedicated and also sympathetic.
Thanks for the information.
Kellee(Nick's Mom) , I made a reservation at the Navy Lodge! It's pretty close and I only saw good reviews about it on TripAdvisor...so...I think it's a good choice! I made reservation from the 11th to the 13th! Good luck!
Any advice on where to stay? Our son's recruiter suggested The Navy Lodge.
Hi everyone!!! My husband is at ship 11 Div 336.
I was wondering if you have any news about this ship/division?
Also want to add you as a friend, if your son/husband is at the same place.
Let's keep positive! God bless you all!
Good afternoon ladies. I have not been on in few days. Really busy. Got my letter. Ready to hear my baby girls voice. Ship 9 / Div 327. I may not be on for a few more days because of Isaac. Not sure how it's going to play out. So if any of ya are in the path, stay safe. And God Bless.
