WELCOME TO PIR 10/12/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

yes  mommaross Ship 9 Div 327 327 and 328 are brother div. Oh ya the count down is on! I'm so excited to see my sister!

Juanlaong56 - only 49 days to go :)  My son is in ship 9 div 327 - think this is their brother div. Count down the days, it goes faster.

have I joined the right group? My son is ship 11 division 336. His recruiter told me he wasn't sure of his PIR yet.

Comment by juanlaong56Ship09Div328 on August 23, 2012 at 1:53pm

I'm taking this so much harder this time.  This is round two for me.  My son finished boot camp 20 July 2012.  My daughter arrived 8 August 23, 2012.   Received my PIR form letter today for 12 Oct 2012. Ship 09, Div 328.  I'm hoping that is the correct Div.  First address that was given to me from her recruiter was different.    No letters returned, so I’m guessing they got delivered to her.  Confused!

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on August 23, 2012 at 12:56pm

Yay for form letters coming! Make sure you check the very bottom of that letter, as some SR's do write a personal message, as some have stated.

thanantos:  I "echo" what Betsy said below!!!

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on August 23, 2012 at 12:54pm

thanantos, please, please remember it's important to stay on this site as well, to obtain pertinent and important information to PIR.  If you do create a FB, please advise the ladies not to leave this site.  We know that FB is pretty popular, but there is a lot of well-needed information passed on to everyone on here.  A lot of the woman on here have never been through boot camp and PIR and do value the information provided from those who have already been through the process.
