does anyone know what the dress code is or know what they're wearing to the graduation?
Comment
I know it is not long until your SR graduates, but I was wondering, could you put me on your list to take a picture of my SR who will perform on 7/15. I am dying wanting to see her! She will be in for the color guard. The color guard should be the first group you see at PIR. I sure would appreciate it!!
Moms I got an unexpected extra letter form om son on Sunday dated June 27. The good news is the divis 935 took their 2 exam and he said that everyone passed as far as he new...GO Div 935.
Someone thought that Div 935 would be performing for their own PIR. If that is so do we know where the best place to set is going to be? or do they have assigned areas for each division to set?
I am getting more excited if that is even possible. After reading info from others that have gone this path before me I think I will just give my son his cell phone and i pod (he is missing his music...true musician) at PIR weekend and mail the rest later. What I can find they have to carry a BIG heavy duffle bag and a hanging clothes bag. Yes they check it in at the airport but they have to carry it around at the base till assigned a living spot. I am going to mail everything to him later...or take it to him...go reason to say I need to visit...lol...without saying how much I miss him. Anyone else have a better idea or what he really needs asap?
Linda, a gate pass is only if you want to park on base. You can still go to the PIR with out one it is just that you can't park your camper or car there.
When we went to our Son's PIR we rented a car and left it at the hotel. We took a cab to GL base. We had to go through security at the gate. We just had to show our ID. (drivers licenses birth certificates for children) The guards at the gate just checked our IDs and made sure that our names were on the PIR guest list.
Yay, the post office will finally be open again tomorrow :-) All the ribbons for this group that have been paid for will be shipped tomorrow morning. They are all ready to go. Be sure and look in the package for a free Navy scrapbook embellishment. If anyone else wants ribbons please let me know asap so you can get them without paying for Express shipping. Here is one ribbon from an order shipping tomorrow morning. I am sure you will know if it is one of you ribbons :-)
